No instruments, it’s Layne Stein, the beat boxer. Geoff Castellucci, the bass, has a 5 octave range.
@bradclifton52483 жыл бұрын
Plus. I think this song is 5.5 octaves
@bradclifton52483 жыл бұрын
No contest. Geoff def has a bigger singable range. Avi hits the notes Geoff sings the notes.
@saleythesableye23383 жыл бұрын
Yes it is the bass geoff castellucci. I would also suggest his black bird cover and 16 tons he shows off his range greatly in those
@mrsmellulatter12163 жыл бұрын
Or any just Geoff castellucci song/cover
@WhatTheBlastt3 жыл бұрын
Got both on the list!
@steveeverett17363 жыл бұрын
also his Headless Horseman, if you want the sub-basement low notes
@Maerahn3 жыл бұрын
Yep, Geoff Castellucci is a monster when it comes to vocal range. That last phrase he sang at the end covered FIVE octaves, from the starting high down to that subharmonic low at the end. And yeah, their 'This is Halloween' cover is a banger too.
@WhatTheBlastt3 жыл бұрын
I don't even sing and I know covering 5 octaves is ridiculous lol.
@nightthornkvala941323 жыл бұрын
This is how they do a lot of their videos, like a play, musical theatre if you will.
@smashingblouse38033 жыл бұрын
I'd recommend The Little Mermaid Medley to show all their voices clearly, it's some of their best work. And they've also done Kidnap the Sandy Claws and What's This from Nightmare Before Christmas, they're amazing too!

Geoff has been the bass of the group since the group was formed, so yes, that's him. Earl, the big guy with extremely high vocals, was an original member of the group, but he left some time ago. Right now it's currently Geoff (bass), J.None (baritone), Eli (tenor), and Layne (beatboxer).
@DougRayPhillips3 жыл бұрын
And usually rotating guests as the other tenor.

From what I've heard you don't have to worry about copyright with VoicePlay, because they said they think it's an honor for people to do reactions to them and they even watch them sometimes
@WhatTheBlastt3 жыл бұрын
Good to know! Def plan on checking them out more.
@maeco73 жыл бұрын
Great reaction! They also do "What's This" and "Kidnap the Sandy Claws" from the movie ;)

If you want to hear the third bass of the acapella trifecta you have to check out tim foust from the group Home Free.
@jessicaeddins65503 жыл бұрын
Geoff's last note was an E1 and that is the third white key from the end of the piano.
@warmandbright65253 жыл бұрын
have to second what someone else said, the video was half the volume of your mic which makes it hard to hear them because then you're blasting. otherwise, loved your reaction to this. also, welcome to like the lowest sound ever lmao. bass is Geoff Castellucci, the beat boxing was the guy on the right playing the doctor
@WhatTheBlastt3 жыл бұрын
I think I fixed the volume issue for all future vids!
@bjspeck4337 Жыл бұрын
Geoff has a range of 5 octaves from A0 (growl), B0 (subharmonic), F#1 (full chest), A5 (falsetto). VP does do What's This as well as a host of Halloween songs. Geoff also has a few Halloween solos - the Monster Mash (my first Geoff or VP), Grim Grinning Ghosts, the Headless Horseman, Ghostriders in the Sky.

Since your a fan of bass/beat drop I would also suggest nf clouds the beat drop is crazy. Though it would probably be best to start the NF journey
@WhatTheBlastt3 жыл бұрын
I LOVE that there's a rap lover here on the acapella vids. lol. I've actually listened to a lot of NF and even reacted to Clouds (ITS A BANGER) but it got blocked so it's only on Patreon. 😢 NF is self made tho so I respect him wanting to keep his dollars with him and blocking it lol.

Love this song but your microphone volume is twice that of the music. I'm straining to barely hear the music in my headphones, have them at max volume and then you talk and it's like SO LOUD. Please adjust for next time.

You need to turn up the video volume. Barely hear it and you drown out the sound.
@lindsey23002 жыл бұрын
Could not finish. The volume is way off. I had to turn the volume down because you are so loud, so I was barely able to hear the group. Yes I have heard their music video before, but I should be able to to still hear it during a reaction video.

All voices, no pipes.

I think you need to figure out your sound system. Your voice is extremely loud and the video you are reacting to is very quiet. I couldn't finish watching because of the sound variations. Hope you can figure it out.
