The fact that they were singing in Dovahzhul (dragon language) had me throwing the ear buds across the room and yelling in sheer delight. That was epic.

Same! I giggled and clapped alone in my living room when they Shouted too! This is great for non gamers but for those who've heard these themes for hours upon hours, its simply amazing.

I have at least two hundred hours playing Skyrim, the Entro Skyrim orchestration being done in Accapella was an amazing accomplishment and the visual effects reflected the game its-self the three-syllable dragon shouts were done very well. great reaction DisfunktionalTV

Geoff comes in with a skull in one hand and a hammer in the other. Cesar is wearing 20 pounds of chainmail. Patrons monies well spent. I saw the unboxing of the costumes. Every gamer out there is gonna love this.
@candilunsford28782 жыл бұрын
Geoff just keeps on killing arrangements. It would take too long to point out everything I liked in this, but EVERYONE killed it! Cesar is actually wearing a real mail shirt that weighs 20 pounds. Even gamers have been astounded. Omar sounds like you'd expect an elf to. This one made my hair stand on end. Fus ro dah!!

Chain mail is fun. It is a lot easier to wear than full armor (which I did in a production once). Voiceplay always has their costuming spot on!

I love their pronunciations of the lyrics in Dovahzul, (Dragon-Voice) The dragon language from the game. Its more or less spot on. Besides that, its "just" classic Voiceplay. A perfect performance, with incredible skill and attention to details. Love it!

Damn, they just keep getting better and their dedication to actually embracing the 'theatrical' aspects of their presentation enhances the experience. Their roles with both their voices and their character appearance approach to these songs.

This is my new favourite, everything musically & visually is just incredible. Geoff's arrangement is a mixing of The Dragonborn Comes song and the main theme from Skyrim hence the title.
@christinestromberg40572 жыл бұрын
This, I believe, is a combination of a song used in the game Skyrim, plus some of the theme tune, but with Geoff's arrangement and magic added. And it's epic.
@janetdw2 жыл бұрын
I love the combination of the wistfulness that Omar expresses with the “getting ready for battle”cries that the rest of them are expressing. I don’t game and this makes me want to go play Skyrim and Dragonborn but this could be the one that convert me just for the freaking music. holy crap!

Geoff hits a C1 in the beginning, that's 1 step above the B0 he hit in Halo. The Fus Ro Dah really shows their love for the games' music. And I'm a bass, but the lowest I can hit is B1. Jesus Geoff.

I've played Skyrim for 8000 hours+. At 5:52, they were singing in dragontongue, known also as dragonzul, the transilation too what they were saying is: Dragonborn, Dragonborn by his honour is sworn To keep evil forever at bay! And the fiercest foes rout when they hear triumph's shout, Dragonborn, for your blessing we pray!

Not a gamer, so I did not have any expectations, and this is phenomenal! I don't think you've reacted to their Greatest Showman medley yet. It is Layne's arrangement, at one point he has everyone beatboxing. Check out some of their older work - Mr Blue Sky and Any Way You Want It. Both have less theatrics and makeup, but both are outstanding!

If you enjoyed this, you might enjoy some of Malukah's Skyrim / Elder Scrolls content. Her Skyrim fans liked her covers so much they successfully petitioned to have her made a Bard in Elder Scrolls online. Peter Hollens does some covers with her and some solo ones. His collaboration on the Skyrim theme with violinist Lindsey Sterliing is epic.

I'm not a gamer--had never heard of Skyrim before I heard this. But I think (and please correct me if I'm wrong), that the song is "The Dragonborn Comes" and that song is from the video game "Skyrim". Is that right? I've been reading a lot of comments on reviews' reviews and have learned a lot about the game. It sounds like a great game! And I'm learning that I've been missing a lot of great music attached to video games. Who knew video games came with such wonderful music and their own language (at least Skyrim has its own language)??
@xeanayafoxzelaine90022 жыл бұрын
creators of skyrim did have the dragon language very much made up in like 24 hrs by one guy. lyrics and soundtrack is good... just some npc bards dont sing all that well in some of the taverns. Skyrim is the game I would always recommend anyone new to Elder Scrolls series to play it for many reasons.

I have literally only one nitpick with this song, and that's at 7:20. My soul REALLY wants that crescendo to happen, but they flat line the beat and i just feel robbed of what could have been one of, if not the most shining part of the song for me. Still an amazing arrangement overall though for sure.
