Thank you Larry for capturing these stories for eternity. We will be losing these veterans soon over the next few decades and it's important their stories are recorded for the future and what they went through.

Today’s Vietnam Veterans are about the same age as my World War II Veterans were when I started my work 22 years ago. In 20 more years who will be able to tell their story?

What a great variety of topics this gentleman covered. Another American soldier that we owe so much to. Two wars, losing an eye, seeing violence inflicted upon fellow military members. Thank you Larry for getting his story memorialized before it was too late.

Julie, these stories are a part of history, something evil people are trying to erase. I am their counterpart. Thank you for helping me to share Richard's story with those who still love freedom. God bless you!!

Casper Wyoming. 2006. Wish I would’ve known you were there. You could’ve interviewed my Dad. PFC Edward E. Roy who fought on Iwo Jima Feb. 1945. Almost completed the campaign but was wounded a few days before the Island was deemed secure for the third time. We lost him in Feb. 17, 2018 just two days prior to the anniversary of the anniversary of Iwo. He is in The Oregon Trail Cemetery now 😢. He probably knew this man.

It would have been an honor to interview your Father. We can honor him with another Iwo Jima story if you are interested Frank. Feel free to reach out to me: WEBSITE: larrycappetto.com

Wow what a magnificent opportunity to hear first hand about the development of the Huey into the war machine it became. It’s evolution has always been very interesting and although it evolved over time out of necessity by the warriors who used them ; I would have loved to have heard more from him as there’s not been much told about that unit of men working and developing the gunship in the early days of the Huey’s He had some interesting information that he could have shared and there just wasn’t very many men who were assigned to do that specifically. And so the pilots were given a lot of liberty to arm themselves and the Helicopter, they shared their knowledge and successes and it wasn’t long before those choppers were perfect in every role it would play in the war

Just imagine if we had this technology in ancient Roman times and could hear the day to day experience of the common Roman soldier
