I watched a Jocko Willink podcast with an American special forces vet and his South Vietnamese special forces buddy and they fought side by side for several years. The South Vietnamese soldier talked about fighting for years straight and had a very sketchy escape from that country after the north took over. But he made it over here and had a lot of children.

I knew a Vietnamese girl when I was young and she made me realise people are truly different in respect to the love they have for their homeland. I’m a coastal Australian and honestly thought everyone dreamed of moving to the coast. She would tell me how she loved the busy streets and the smells of her home so much and hearing what so many went through really touched my heart. I’m stoked to hear from some Vietnamese too!

I've only heard a few vets mention what Sinh did at one point, yet I think it's very important. The South Vietnamese and Americans may have lost the war but now over time, it's been proven the original goal was achieved. After the Vietnam war, communism in southern Asia did halt. If we hadn't been there with the South Vietnamese during that time, I think there would be a much different Asia today. Special thanks Larry for taking an interest in the South Vietnamese perspective. It's of major importance and sadly a rarely told rare view. As always, All the very best to you Larry.
