Most days I forget that I have a rare autoimmune disease. I’m a mom to 7-year old twins, work part-time as a pharmacist, recently finished my 4th university degree (a Masters in Nutrition), and am now diligently working on my career pivot into nutrition and functional medicine (starting with helping our own NMOSD community). I really don’t have time for NMO to bring me down, and for the most part, it doesn’t. However, as any NMO warrior knows, the journey from diagnosis is never easy.
