I want to first apologize for the substantial delay in continuing this series. I've had a lot of conflicting priorities lately, and even a few recent trips, but I finally got this episode cleaned up and ready for upload.
In this episode of Voices That Move Our Cities, we take a trip to the other side of the United States, to the City of Angels. Los Angeles' Metro system, especially their Metrorail division, is full of a variety of talented and dynamic voices that keep the ride fun and enjoyable. Many of the people behind these voices remain unnamed most likely because the recordings were done through third party agencies instead of directly working with Metro. We'll start underground on the busy B & D Subway Lines, then jump to the majority of the Light Rail system, and then finish up with some announcements from the Metrobus and an ending montage of "Please Stand Clear, the Doors are Closing" messages I personally recorded over the last few years. I also made an effort to visually transcribe to the best of my ability some of the Spanish announcements, but other areas I skipped because it was hard to tell what exactly was being said and I didn't want to risk using the wrong words or phrases.
