A small thing I love about this sequence is that it shows how the little bat creature really wasn't all that "little" after all - if you look at its remains as The Deceiver lands, you can see that it's about half the size of a person! It'd be quite the intimidating entity to see flying at you after death - "We've come too far to back down now" becomes a lot more ominous when taking that into account.
