We saw a hint of Hailey’s dark side in the fall finale when Jay went missing, the lengths she was willing to go to get him back. Now, with her CI whom she was close with being murderer in front of her and his basically-murderer about to walk free, it made it all spill over. Honestly it’s incredible realistic to show that the job can have this effect on someone’s character. Hailey is usually by the books but when it comes to someone she cares about, and getting justice, she can’t let it go. But now Voight and Jay has to be there for her and pull her back from the edge before she gets herself in trouble she can’t come back from. One of my favorite episodes of the show!! 👏🏼

I think some stuff that happens to the people surrounding him are a bit too much. I mean, to put something Jason Beghe truly doesn't like, cult-like. I don't know anyone except mothers willing to take a fall like the one Al took for him. I think they need to put Hank making something beyond a saving or a giving of his business card, or even that talk, for one of his peers in the unit. My guess, and I hope, is that the racism storyline of Atwater becomes that thing. He said Atwater is like a son to him. How far he would go, how out of his M.O he would act? Aside from that concern, I think you're right

When Trudy wanted to kill her father's murderer and said to Voight that he should understand her best, he shouted to her "You are not me, Trudy!". Hailey tells him that she learned about these things from the best and he warns her about this attitude. Voight realizes what he has done in his life. But this does not mean that he will enjoy the fact that others do the same. He is not looking for someone to understand him. He just doesn't want others to have to live the way he had to. Hank believes that the world will be better thanks to good people. Although he probably does not consider himself a good man.

This is an example of voight’s more tougher nature each one of the unit members. has seen him go to above all lengths to protect someone. or to keep them safe. they in turn wanna follow from that and learn from it. Voight knows what lead him on the path of violence and he doesn’t want his unit members to follow in his footsteps. An example would be when Hailey shot a suspect that was going for Hank’s gun.

Honestly this shows the big error in the team. Multiple times, the detectives have seen Voight do dirty and wrong things for good causes, and they want to follow that example. The thing is, Voight is aware of the dark path that set him on, so he doesn't want the others to get as bad as he is.

I think that it is good that Voight is finally coming to his senses. He was the dirtiest TV cop that I had ever known. His interrogation tactics made me so mad; I wished he would get arrested and get the same things done to him. But Hailey's also becoming the same, so that is what's concerning Voight at the moment. He's learned his lesson. :)

If you create a character you stick to the personality you created for them, not turn it around just to try and come up with a storyline for her. There's plenty of ways to do that without changing her personality completely. Yep hopefully ends sooner rather than later!
