I don't speak French or know much about sailing, but do they purposely try to hit each other to force the other boat to get a penalty?

Not trying to to ram each other but there are rules about right of way and they use them to press each other out of the best route.

The French had a penalty early in the race so at the end, when they had advantage, they forced sweden to foul so they made a mistake and also got a penalty

@@Ghostingpros I'm not so sure they forced Sweden to foul as much as Sweden lost control of their spinnaker. Tense sailing though.

they don't try to hit each other, but get just close enough that the other must move to avoid a collision. If the priority boat has to change course to avoid a collision, then the other gets a penalty.

Pourquoi y a t il pénalité au français alors qu ils ont la priorité (plus pres du vent et tribord amur )grace a sa il pouvait faire ce qu il voulait au suedois

lorsqu'un bateau vire de bord il doit laisser la possibilité à l'adversaire de se maintenir à distance . Dans ce cas son virement en position favorable sous le vent a dû être jugé trop agressif (trop dans l'axe de la route) car si Hansen avait continué tout droit il y aurait eu collision ... c'est difficile a apprécier en video, c'est pour çà que le juge est sur l'eau dans un pneumatique.

@@gillescasanova7603 C'est le même topo avec la pénalité infligée aux Suédois ? J'ai pas compris la manip. Il loffe pendant que l'autre bateau n'est plus trop manoeuvrant ok, mais les Suédois loffent aussi et se retrouvent vent debout et à l'arrêt. Où est leur faute ?
