Its a Salmson AL3 or VAL5. The X on the radiator grille is the identifier. It was assumed after winning the Le Mans race with andre lombard. Coincidentally there is a St Andre des Eaux near St Marc sur Mer where Monsieur Hulot's Holiday was filmed.

It's a 1924 Amilcar. They were built in France between the wars.
