Great video of a really interesting show, loved hearing about that Twizzy and the BX. I bought my own 17RD facelift D plated (an ex Clydedales Bank fleet car) which I ran for a while and seem to recall it was such a comfortable but had no PAS😮 either!

Thanks Simon. At FOTU last year I was driven down the Field in a BX and they really do float over the bumps giving a snotty ride on most surfaces.

Thanks. It's certainly worth a look around. Probably not as big as the British Motorshow Museum or Haynes Museum but still a lot crammed in so an enthusiast like yourself will enjoy it. You can also book to drive some of the exhibits which is something I haven't seen anywhere else. This place is a little over an hour from me too so if you drop me a message closer to the time if you want any help planning your itinerary.

Great to see someone with a Twizzy and good to hear you can boost the power a bit. Good to see Vep the red Citroen BX, it has went to a fantastic owner, was nice to see this at Rustival. Sure the Dimma 205 and Gutmann Cabrio were at the french day at the motorist's french day last summer. A Brilliant video as always Mark.

Thanks Davy. It's not every day that you get the chance to feature a Twizzy, let alone speak with someone who owns one. The BX was really interesting and must be one of the earliest surviving examples. You may have seen the 205's at The Motorist. I saw a good selection of 205's when I went to Simply French last year and one of the guys from the Peugeot Sport Club I had a chat with off camera knew a few of the cars I've previously covered.

Thanks. This one was possibly one of the closest to the Midlands that I'm.aware of. Later this year is Brooklands French Day and Simply French at Beaulieu. In October it Autos De France at Oulton Park. All a bit of a drive but within reach of the Midlands.

@@markonmotoring yeah Great British Car Journey isn't so far, it's just a bit more of a commitment in terms of time! I'll be at Autos de France this year, not sure what I'll take yet though (my french fleet is a bit poorly across the board)! This one looked like a really good event to shame I didn't make it. I'm at Coventry Motofest this weekend.

Renault 15 looks cool good video mate.

Thank you. That particular model is the Renault 17 but the 15 looks very similar. The most obvious change is the design of the rear side glazing which is a larger window on the 15.

Wow, you must have some interesting tales to tell about your time selling them? I'm hoping to do a bit of more in depth filming at some point with Mick from the Simca Club but I'm a bit behind with filming projects at the moment.
