This album is the most brilliant sofisticated and amazing album of the year and probabily one of the best in this decade. I can't tell what songs do I prefer, every song is perfect. But I don't know, when 24 light years plays I always start crying, don't know what strings touches on my heart

This is one of my favorite of whole VOLA work, at same level of Gutter Moon.

VOLA and Sleep Token. Golden age for music as you've said. Great reaction. Thanks!

The holy trinity of modern metal to me is Vola, Sleep Token and Vildhjarta.

The vocals are so simple yet tasteful! It really let's the music simmer and you still get the payout of those gorgeously sung hooks and bridges. Primo

I loved to see how you enjoyed to listen to this incredible song! I also get the same kind of smile every time I listen to it. Such a great band and so happy I had the chance to meet them personally here in Frankfurt Germany when they where supporting Katatonia. Hope we will soon be able to see them live!

Queued this up on the stereo, had to hear it with headphones and now I feel like listening with a friend. This hits in so many levels. Rhythm, chorus, lyrics, build, silence, guitar solo; I've been holding off on getting into VOLA and that time is gone.

I just learned how to play the bridge groove and I'm shocked at how easy it is but the choice. The choice in note selection is obviously VOLA. As in, it's a perfect selection. This is the music I've trying to write for years. Back to the drawing boards but my goodness have they nailed it.

Great review! I agree with Joe on the current Golden Age. So much great stuff coming up in different genres.

About the rule of being interesting, there is also one baseline rule to which they adhere, and they have admitted that they apply - massive, flying chorus. This is where they put their emphasis, and being interesting follows as well.
@madeofwax923 жыл бұрын
absolutely. it's a formula that lesser bands would abuse and misuse, but VOLA does it so well while keeping things interesting

24 footprints? 12 people? Echoes, cant leave house. this is very deep stuff. 24 light years, that puzzles me.?

Awesome track! If you take suggestions I highly recommend this awesome band: Iotunn - The Tower of Cosmic Nihility (OFFICIAL VIDEO) kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZS9amubiJ19iJI From my hometown Copenhagen, progressive metal , new album and with the singer of Barren Earth and Hamferd. Just great and amazing vocals. Cheers!

Song of the Year for me right here. My only personal critique of this amazing song is I felt they went a little safe in the bridge.
