I’ve never ran my 70 vector stock . I built it to run 6s . What a boat.

Those long strips that run along the boats bottom hull are called "Strakes" They are designed to create Lift for fast plaining. The sharp fins on each side of the rear "Transom" are called "Turning Fins" enhancing sharp turns. The tabs on the bottom section of the transom are called "Trim Tabs" they are adjustable on this boat & will raise & lower the boats front "Bow" when running & stabilize the boats hull. Portside is left & Starboard is right side. Front is "Forward" Rear is "Aft" Hope this helps. Nice boat Thanks for Sharing👍👍💛

You're suppose to tape the hatch cover...specific tape is made just to seal an RC boat hatch.

I wrote in your comment section before I like I said I got this for Christmas 18’ ran it for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately due to rookie error I flipped it and broke lid latch so to fix that I thought about using thumb screws and stand- offs to hold it down . Do think he cover is strong enough to drill through to finish the thumb screw install thanks

That is a big and powerful brushed motor boat Pete, big enough to scare those ducks away. I love your keychain camera set-up, I will have to try that next summer, boating season is almost over in NJ. Another great review. Cheers.

Thanks Ron :) I've had the keychain cam for over 2 years and finally it died out...all 3 of them so this one is revived with a new battery and is expendable since it is low cost and very effective and perfect for use in this situation :)

Well, it does have a 40A esc on board so it should be able to handle it :)

Very cool Pete👍🏻 You could spray your micro vtx with Corrosion X and fpv your boat. I use it on my rc truck esc for running in the snow and it works awesome 👏🏻 Although I'm not sure about the lense

been looking into getting a RC Boat but I live on a big lake here in Vermont in the states not sure how it would handle the bigger waves and this is not a self righting boat am I correct on that? loved your honest review and thanks in advance for any input you can send my way

yeah, I would n't go aganist waves with this one. on the other hand, if you put some foam right underneath the top cover, it will upright by itself.

I got one and have to say it is a sweet boat and it can take some good waves with little to no problems I live near a really big lake here in Vermont and this is a champ I thank you very much as your review was the deal breaker for me getting it, so once more thank you for the input and if you get a chance I have a few videos up on my page of it and now it's warmer will be doing a lot more

I got this boat for Christmas I put in my radio and receiver I hooked up the battery to test if radio is talking to receiver and I got steering but no throttle battery was in store mode from factory is that why?

Perhaps...charge up the battery and see if that is the problem. What radio are you using? Does it have throttle trim?

Radio is a spektrum dx2e yes there is a throttle trim and limit switch

Only tried from storage state steering works but the led on the receiver was red

Also it’s winter where I am all lakes are frozen if did full charge it have to go right back to storage cause it be another three months till I can run it
