Volatile keyword is also known as Volatile qualifier. It is used when declaring a variable which is associated with an external event. it will take less memory "temp variable" that part I didn't get

Glad you asked the question. Temp variable gets less memory because when it gets accessed by a CPU, the CPU will get its value from RAM only. Hence no need to update that variables value everytime when CPU requests. But in case of volatile, everytime CPU requests that variable, its value gets updated. Thus now CPU will get value from the external events (Ports, Timers etc) instead of internal RAM.
