Hi Mike! Question ❓ how does the rng work on multi hand video poker machine? Thank you!

Hi Ramon! I made a video last year answering a viewer's question on the RNG. I used single-hand video poker in that example. You can watch it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gIeyqmaGa72mhs0 For multi-hand machines, the RNG works similarly to single-hand during the deal. However on the draw, each hand has its own separate deck. The cards you hold on the deal are duplicated onto the other hands. Once you hit the draw button, the discards are replaced with new cards randomly chosen from the remaining 47 cards in the deck. That happens for each hand independently. Hope this helps. In case you need a visual example, I will be streaming my weekly Q&A tomorrow evening and if needed, I can go into more detail - at least more than I could using text. 🙂

Mike, sorry, but your excellent presentation, prompted me to share some valuable statistical information, which hopefully added a little more strength to your message. And, it is so easy to do with 2 available websites that new free to all of us.

Hi, Mike! Thank you for video! What about 10s or better? How do you think, it’s better game than standard JoB 9-6?

Tens or Better is rare to find in land-based casinos in my experience, but it is more commonly available at online casinos. The best version of tens or better is a 6/5 pay table. While 6/5 jacks is usually the worst version of Jacks or Better, simply changing the minimum winning hand from a pair of jacks to a pair of tens increases the theoretical payback percentage up to 99.14%, which is competitive but still slightly lower than 9/6 JoB. There are worse pay tables of tens or better to watch out for - mainly a change in the payout of 4 of a kind from 125 to 100 or of two pair from 10 to 5. Thank you for your question. I will address this further in a future video. 🙂
