Volbeat are a Danish rock band formed in Copenhagen in 2001. They play a fusion of rock and roll, heavy metal and rockabilly. Their current line-up consists of vocalist and guitarist Michael Poulsen, guitarist Rob Caggiano, drummer Jon Larsen and bassist Kaspar Boye Larsen.

I caught them live three times, and they brought it every time. In fact, I saw their very first US show they ever played when Nightwish brought them over to open their tour. When they came out on stage and opened with "Sad Man's Tongue", nobody knew what the hell kind of music they were hearing, haha. The guys were sick too, but by the third song, they had won over every single person in the audience. The second show I went to was their own headliner tour, and the third was Knotfest in '19. They held their own with the likes of Behemoth, Gojira, and Slipknot. They alter their setlist a lot, so there's always some surprises thrown in. I love their latest single, "Becoming", but this one is still my favorite so far. That riff is just so heavy and sinister with the perfect crunchy production.

Volbeat is my all time favorite. Saw them 2018 in Nashville. New singles are clean, solid, upbeat, and vocals are always on point. Favorite songs: Fallen, Devils Bleeding Crown, Evigt.

I don't know a whole lot by Volbeat but this was very enjoyable! Horns up for a nice listen PLUS bonus horns for the impromptu break of Godsmack's Voodoo (one of my fave songs by them) AND the mention of Black Stone Cherry (one of my fave bands) in the related artists! 🤘🤘

Saw them as a fan once when they opened for Metallica. I also worked stage security when they played co-headliner with Slipknot. They NEVER disappoint. Incredibly talented band and truthfully one of my all time favorites.

"For evigt" is Danish for "forever" and you can see the connections between English and Danish in the word(s) BTW other Scandinavians make fun of the Danes for their accent and say it sounds like they talk with a hot potato in their mouths I speak English and German and with those two languages you can work out a lot of the written language but the pronunciation rules are a nightmare.

One more thing: I am not a FAN of Volbeat but after hearing this cover of Metallica, it made me more interested, so I checked your reaction out and I like THIS song very much. I am really liking his voice. AND watching the LIVE Metallica cover, which you should react to both vids btw, is such a treat to watch them and the guitar player looks sooo cool.

Volbeat is by far my favorite band. I've seen them 3 times in the US, all great shows! Favorite songs are Die to live, Black Rose, The Gardens Tail and Hangmans Body Count. Got to see Volbeat on their first and only visit to Melbourne Australia 6yrs ago at a little 200+ venue and I must say you are in for a treat,they were brilliant live and hung around after the gig and shook hands and chatted with the fans.Was even lucky enough to get a drumstick of John and a few picks and a set list as well… still rate it as one of my best gigs and luckily I get to see a few as my wife does concert reviews.Enjoy my friend you won’t be disappointed 🤘🏽
