What a fabulous informative video, thank you. I genuinely finally understand my Volca keys having trawled through loads of videos. I was getting frustrated with mine ( I’ve no musical ability whatsoever) and getting nowhere with the sound shaping. Twiddling knobs not really knowing what they were (or weren’t) doing. Didn’t understand the LFO for example, but got inspired to follow this along step by step and hey presto! It makes a lot more sense now. Brilliant video in my opinion.

A fun little machine. For a non-keyboard player you should definitely use the sequencer functions of the Volca! Take care.

You’re absolutely correct about the foot measurements for the different octaves. Shorter pipes / higher pitch! I’m oversimplifying a lot, but I’m a simple dude. Volca Keys is one I missed out on trying as I jumped right in with the Minilogue, but it’s still a great little box with a massive sound. Cool to hear what you and others get out of it!

The one thing the keys has on the base is the polyphony. So if you're looking to add chords to your setup then get the keys, if not then you can probably skip it :)
