One thing i dont understand when people run this build.... why not just get the three item combo and afterwards get liandry nashors or riftmaker nashors... liandry for insane passive dmg since it gets procced from unending despair and riftmaker for even more damage... nashors + one of these items is basically like playing the AP volibear which goes tank after two items anyways... so if you combine it it might be even stronger than other item choices.

riftmaker is good for 10 percent damage that also increases unending despair's healing but if you go for one more ap item such as liandry or nashors they will one shot you before you have the chance to heal back so jaksco would be better in my opinion or zhonyas to refresh cooldowns while in stasis

Depends on who you're fighting. I generally go JakSho/Riftmaker or Iceborn Gaunt/Riftmaker. Really depends on the opposite team comp. Nashors is nice but you give up a lot of durability if you're not ridiculously ahead. I find lasting longer in a fight is worth it over doing a bit more damage, especially if you're the team's tank. Drain-Tank Voli is still relatively squishy if they build against you or are able to kite you around.

Went vs this a few games ago, he had a yuumi on top of him as well. We somehow managed to win though. I was playing seraphine support and it was super late so my W was on like a 6 second cd and I could use the empowered version every time and perma kite voli as well. Was a sight to behold

IMO, more tank items are better on him. Iceborn Gaunt, Riftmaker, Jak'Sho, and Frozen Heart are optimal 5th/6th item choices depending on enemy team comp. Eclipse doesn't have HP for his W scaling and he doesn't build enough AD to make the healing from Sundered worth it compared to getting more durable and living longer in team-fights.

I think the heal build is a bit of a bait. Other bruiser items are simply more effective - you may lose some EHP, but you deal significantly more damage. Senna should not be allowed to exist when your ult is up, for example. CDR also has a ton of value as your W is up more often. Spear of Shojin, Anathema's Chains, Abyssal Mask, Iceborn Gauntlet... they are all ridiculously good items on Volibear. You can also buffer W during Q animation. You miss an auto attack reset, sure, but you get your second W much faster which is more impactful.

If they don't have the comp/items to deal with it he runs over them as an unkillable demon, if they do though he simply just dies once you start getting to teamfights.

Kill him early game. This build doesn't get strong until mid/late game after he's 3 items deep. Gotta shut him down early. Besides, Voli is a bit of a counter to Riven anyway.

Fimbulwinter is a huge part of the build and obviously Vlad can't get any use from it, so that hampers it massively. Look at item stats at the end of a game running this build and Fimbulwinter is usually the highest item.

@@monkeyassassin21 The same sort of setup as WASD. Ring finger on Q, Middle on W, Index on E/R. Pinky on shift/ctrl for hotkeys/natural resting place. That's just the normal setup. Pinky on Q is weird and requires an unusual hand position for no gain, the Pinky finger is just worse than other fingers from a biomechanical standpoint as well for the purposes of playing League (the index and middle fingers have a shorter reaction time).

What's the point of having your finger on shift though? I used to do shift + qwer to rank them up but the few micoseconds saved vs just hovering mouse over skill and ranking up that way hasn't been too punishing. I like pinky on q because it's easy to transition to A for autos when right clicking is a mess (maybe behind tower, maybe they're standing on their adc) and i find better results alternating pinky between Q and A as needed. A is mostly just for farming though truth be told. Does anyone use the auto attack enabled function that makes you always autoattack? @@treeaboo

Anyone can build antiheal, there are botrk users in top, jungle, mid, and adc, and any lethality user can build serpents. This build is unkillable against comps that can't deal with it, and just *dies* against comps that can.
