Great to hear Billy tell his story, what a sweet humble man, wonderful singer, didn't get enough credit for his talent. Pity there isn't more footage of him and musical career. My dad was a big fan and I grew up listening to him, I love him, Sweet dreams Billy x.

Hi , I'm a BIG Billy fan , I have visited his grave a few times in Mill Hill , met Hal Carter 'who managed him in the past' - Hal died a few years back . Thank you for posting this, so lovely to hear Billy speaking. I loved him as a teenager and dragged my mother with me to his concert in Gt Yarmouth, August 1962, the week Marilyn Monroe died, we were on holiday, I was fourteen! He was my heartthrob, so sad he died so young and had so much illness, dear Billy.

Ann, I was at that show in Gt Yarmouth in 62. I was 14, and my Sister took me on holiday and they decided to call into Gt Yarmouth. I was knocked out to see Billy on the bill and we went twice.

Always like hearing Billy talk. Clearly a very pleasant and humble guy. Hearing him speak about how he started emulating Eddie Cochran's look after being told he looked like him is similar to how I did the same around 1993.. Except the person I was told I resembled was Billy Fury!

I always believed that Billy had more in common with Eddie Cochran than Elvis. Not just the way he looked but his song writing as well. He also met both of them.

@@iandavis7648 Yes, very much so. I think the difference with Eddie though, as well as being a much more accomplished songwriter, he was a lot more confident and driven than Billy. If he hadn't have died, I think he would've gone on to be a prolific songwriter and producer, along the same lines as Jeff Lynne.

@@TheRowlandstone73 Being very shy was a major set back for Billy, he said in an interview if it wasn't for shyness he could of done a lot more in his career. When Billy met Elvis he didn't talk to him Elvis even mentioned it to someone, he has come all the way from Britain to see me and he hasn't spoken to me.

I loved Billy Dury from age 16, then moved to Australia when I was 24. No more Billy, so I was so glad I had packed his records. But we soon caught up with him over here. I'll never know why I Love How You Love Me is a lesser known of his songs. That, and Once Upon A Dream were my favourites. This is a very interesting interview.

A very unasuming young man who looked the part and belted out a number of great ballads but never achieved a number one hit. Because of his illness and although I tried I never did manage to see him perform live. May he rest in peace

Hi, there is a new DVD Documentary Film, made by Mark Sloper. You can purchase it from Amazon and HMV stores. If there are no copies of the DVD in the HMV stores, ask them and they will order it for you. We went to the Premiere of the film in Liverpool, where Billy's Mum, Jean Wycherley was Guest of Honour, along with Billy's very good friend, Vince Eager. We are also attending another showing of the film at Regents Street, in London on the 29th of August, this year 2015. The film is being shown on the 28th and 29th of August. Billy in London this year 2015!

Strange that he was shy. When I was young he was reputed to be a bit of a bad lad but no. Plus he was so sick I really don't know how he managed. His diction was so perfect that even my dad could understand every word
