My first car was a 1968 bug with a 2180 dual 48s stinger exhaust. I didn't build it. It would fishtail on me. No problem. I blew the transmission a few months later! Had 1966, and a 1974. The 66 was lowered and had no working gas gauge. Ear protection required it was so loud. Brakes failed on me as I hit a red light! The left turn green saved me. The 74, was completely stock and in great shape! I drove it down to Mexico from Colorado. Was based in Guadalajara for a year. Drove it all of Mexico and back.

Beautiful job, let me ask you about the serpentine system, is it that you just don't like them or is there a mechanical issue????

They hurt the nose bearings and don’t slip and destroy fans and alternators

Taken many engines apart and the nose of the crank was not designed to take on a force of a tensioner like that
@volkstroke Жыл бұрын
They come apart looking scuffed scratched beat and they are a pain in the ass they also like to blow up the tensioner bearing as well as the Alternator pulley if you drive it often it will be an issue
