No - not until they add a couple of inches of rear head room to the lift-back. Actually just make a VW badged version of the A6 sedan - that's what I need - the SPACE without the Audi surcharge. The Passat isn't quite as large as the A6 IMHO.

It looks terrific but im not so sure why there aren't as many on the roads. Could it be reliability or other performance issues? I am actually getting more excited by that rarity, gives it a unique feel to own one. Barring any major drawbacks, I should be getting this soon as I can afford it.

I own a 2018 version and almost drove it for 90k miles. I have never had a single issue with it. In my opinion they are rare because people are sheep and for the price they pay much rather go for the lesser 3 series, A4s or C class. Some of the features on this car is comparable to BMW 7 series.

It seem to sit Awkwardly in the VAG group, i think most people will take the Audi route with an A5 that's why there are not many about

There's also the Passat which is identical inside and underneath, whilst being quite underrated in the looks department itself, particularly in R-Line or GTE guise, plus it's significantly cheaper. You really have to want an Arteon to pay the premium over the Passat.
