I did this but the intake manifold seems to be hitting the black cover on top of the radiator, also the body starts to lift before it gets high enough to clear it.

Sounds good but doesnt work on my 2006 2.5 beetle . It needs another 1/8th clearance in order to clear frame and jack up. So ,yeh i will be removing both mounts .
