Hi, I have a 2015 Polo which does not have CarPlay. Can I contact the dealer to pay for this option or is it not available at all on the 2015 models?

@@samweaver92 get an rcd 330, I have a 2014 Polo R-Line (6R) and the rcd330 (which is also Volkswagen OEM like yours by the way) just came with Apple CarPlay. You can do the same. It just has about 2 less buttons. I’m so happy with mine from having no screen at all.

Great video. Question if I may: How can one install a nav program on a Golf 2015? A friend of mine has Waze installed on his (when he presses the "MENU" button for a few seconds, Waze just pops up). I asked him and he said the dealership installed it for him, but it cost quite a small fortune. Is there some way I could do this alone? Thanks.

Where it says radio, media, phone etc around the screen at night they are red, now at 4:42 where it says instrument/switch lighting, can you eventually change that colour from red to white, is it possible?

I was really hoping if you could tell me what the "Selection" button on the bottom left of the "Car" menu does and what options it shows. I saw a guy on youtube showing gages on there for e.g. psi, oil temp or water temp. Could you tell me what options it givey you when you press that button?

+Lukas König It has options to show you MPG data, think blue trainer and some others, only the GTI has the gauges etc

Tell me, I have a 2014 1.2 TSI comfortline with the Composition Media System. I however can't get the tyre pressure setting up, it doesnt even show on my screen, if i tap tyres it only shows a speed warning for winter tyres. Anyone know how to sort this out?

Roger Morkel: For Tyre pressure calibration, press CAR button and then you will find it.

Have just bought a 2015 Polo blue motion tech with this exact system. When you press the phone button it states Telephone not activated, does this car come with Bluetooth as standard?

It's very rare for it not to come with Bluetooth as standard, that's for sure!

Got a VW Golf GTE on order as a company car and confirmed it'll be delivered as a MY2016 car with the MIB II system. The option for mirrorlink wasn't available for order when I placed my order originally but is now - £100 option. I can't change it at this late stage and get company sign-off etc. Do you think this can be dealer enabled at a later stage?

Lozzamanuk, Did you ever manage to get the mirrorlink added at a later stage? I'm buying a 2016 GTE with Composition Media (MIB2) Im told it has Car-Net Security activated but not App Connect. Can this be done at dealer with a software download?

Anyone got the same problem as me, where when playing through Bluetooth off phones, on the screen it's saying the previous song that was played and not the current song that's playing. Is there a fix for this?

i just bought a brand new mib composition media for my vw polo 6r. bluetooth works fine,i can make and recieve calls.but the head unit constantly shows"component protection active" .And does not play any music from any source. is there any fix for this??

Did you have to buy a wiring harness adapter and get the component protection removed by a dealer? I bought one to fit to my Polo 6R but haven't been able to get past these obstacles. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

+christian filiou . Yes, you have to go only to yours main dealer: MIRROR LINK (must be Composition Media Gen2) costs 165 € and SWAP (SYSTEM VOICE)(must have system sound of Factory) also 165 €, both 30 € plus for installing. Luck.

What kind of job it would be to upgrade composition colour to composition media with bluetooth and media-in in Golf mk7 that has steering wheel phone buttons and white MFD? I mean what do i need? Composition media screen, glove box main unit, bluetooth module, media-in module, microphone, VAS programming? After that i would have bluetooth HF, ipod connection and possibility to upgrade the Kenwood navigation unit? Or is there a simplier way?

? I thought you just connected your iPhone to the head unit using a USB and then it all worked with applecarplay! Easy!
