2012 Golf MK6 TDI GTD 2.0. Wouldn't take one over 150k miles i'm sure it'll go upto 200k tho

+Hany Bouka to be hinest the Golf is a great allrounder, very practical. If you don't mind the 'badge'of the car Skoda has really good cars, a lot of car for youre money. The engines are the same as Audi and Volkswagen so. Personally I like Mercedes. But those are not sensible choices, it is more emotional choice

+Alaatin61 You keep it very nice, I thought it was new! I previously owned a 2010 Golf with the 5 cylinder gasoline engine and I found it to be the car I most enjoyed to drive of all that I've owned.

Wife has a golf with the dsg box and i think its fantastic. You can leave in auto, great for town, put in sport, where it gives more revs and blips on downshifts, for tight corners. Put in manual mode and use gearshift, or paddles on wheel. So many options and they all work perfectly. Shes had the car nearly ten years as well. So, im a fan. ,

Allosaurus Fragilis thanks for sharing your experience :) I know you can put it in manual, I am driving a 550 bmw and do it all the time, but a hand shifted car is just a little bit more fun to me, I think it's just a personal opinion everyone has to do for himself
