I find it hard to believe that so many modern car interiors are designed with the central air vents set so low that they either blow directly at your hands on the steering wheel or at your armpits. Don't car interior designers drive cars?

Mk 7.5 is the sweet spot. Cannot stand the touchscreen interface of the mk 8, it's awful. The laws need to be changed worldwide to enforce car manufacturers to ensure some features of a car remain physical buttons I.e. HVAC controls etc. Cant use a mobile phone while driving but I can go into a touchscreen menu and mess around while driving. How is that not more dangerous?

I keep reading about reliability issues with VW, but nobody I know has ever experienced them including me and I've only driven VW exclusively. Can anybody please explain?

@@ag8912basically the problems was the steering wheel We’ve had ours 2 years now and after it was changed all the irritating little issues gone Basically the filament which is around the wheel was faulty. other than that it’s been 110% reliable We’ve now had it stage 2 and all I can say is 458.9bhp with the TCU mapped makes a extremely capable fast hatch The only time the golf mk8 R pulls away is from the lights, on the move is a different outcome

Its a fast hatchback, nothing more. Im sticking with Subaru. I enjoy driving but a car that can cope with every weather and road condition and lasts a very long time is far more important than trying to race around like an idiot every day. Once you get to a certain age you will agree with me, thats if you still have your license. Hopefully in the not too distant future, the lack of discipline on the roads will be ironed out. One way or another it needs to be done. Why cant people enjoy driving without behaving like immature, arrogant bell ends ?

It's very plain looking - especially in dull white like that, and those cheap stickers don't help.
