I had a 2009 Golf 1.4 TSI for 7 years. During the ownership of this Golf. Mechantronics was replaced 3 times, Clutch pack was replaced twice and turbocharger once all under warranty. Even with so many major parts replacement, I do not regret buying this Golf 1.4TSI because of the joy it brings to me. However I think the dry clutch dsg is a design flaw. I sold it in 2016 (mileage 188,000km) and bought a wet clutch DSG MK7 GTI.

Buy what you love, love what you bought ❤️ As for the dry clutch, it can be said as a flaw as it doesn’t suit traffic jam and city drive in our region, but i do still like it. Wow your life my dream, i hope my next ride can be a GTI too!!

2-8-2012 年车用到今年2020，用了138K公里，只是加ultra racing bar。有claim原厂也有外面维修。用任何车品牌都是要照顾，不照顾什么样的车都会坏。最高速度提到216 km/H左右。给我个人的感觉很好。如果说要我卖出去的话，现在还没有打算。因为坐上它的感觉和其它2.0-1.8L以下的车 韩国，日本，本地车 （不是德系车 ）找不到哪种感觉。

你说的Mechatronic, 更准确的名称是 Solenoid valve, 它是应用了电磁线圈系统来操作clutch (ABS 也运用了一样的工作原理）。所以当我们有完没完的使到它长时间导电（工作）的时候，它自然会过热或至损坏

automachi 马来西亚汽车资讯网 我做了个research: Alfa Romeo Selespeed 是用了比较纯粹的Solenoid Actuator; 而 VW DSG 是套更精密的电动液压系统 （Electro Hydraulic), 里头是有多个solenoid actuator 和 solenoid valves. 这整套 “Mechatronic” 是有它自己的油液在工作。所以 Wet Clutch 的油和Solenoid system (Mechatronic) 是没有关系的。Mechatronic 是 VW的惯用词或 Trade name. 抱歉我之前也没有说清楚

我本身开passatb7六年多了，老实说问题不少，前五年claimed warranty满多。可是车是好开的。你说的那些dsg用法我都认同，我本身也满注意用法和之类的。爱车和喜欢玩车的人大多数多会花心思去注意这些细节。问题是一般车主品不会去理这么多。如果买二手，建议要预备一些budget，随时会用到哈哈。我觉得可能vw缺乏了consistency，要看luck，有些batch很多问题，有些就没问题。还有我想说其实新一代宝马都很静了，分分钟静过奔驰。

automachi 马来西亚汽车资讯网 其实passatb7是我第二辆vw了。第一辆我开polo sedan1.6，才开了一年多不到12千km就卖了。原因是因为试驾过turbocharged，对它念念不忘。polo sedan 不到一年就claimed了engine mounting，而且我的mileage相当的低。之后就换了passatb7，15千km claimed了 clutch pack， 之后就waterpump，因为coolant漏到满地。也claimed过 mechatronic, 这个要整辆拖走。之后陆陆续续claimed了lower arm bushing, both front wheel bearing，roof lining也换了，因为正片掉下来。Speed censor刚坏不久，外面换因为没warranty了。两辆车不应该有的杂音算多，目前passat杂音都算解决了。我自认算是顾车人士，passat六年多了才开70千km多。在家和上班车都停室内。所以我觉得可能驾vw或欧系车要比较有耐性吧哈哈，买二手的要注意前任车主是否已换过major或重要零件，你就可以省下不少。

automachi 马来西亚汽车资讯网 五六年前在这个130k到170k价格定位无可否认vw的performance是最好的。现在也应该最好，只是多了竞争手尤其是honda也downsizing进攻turbocharged了。总体如果车主以驾驶感为重，还是欧系车吧。之前听说驾过欧系车就很难回头，原来是真的哈哈。我也很喜欢golfR！总体vw还是可以买的，尤其是二手价超低，我觉得真的侮辱了它真正的价值。

Hi, 2012-2013 Jettas are still the CBU batch with CAVD engine code, while 2014 onwards (which is the CKD version) are using revised CTHD engine, the latter is known to be more reliable, no piston crack issue. As for the worst case scenario, that would be 1. Mechatronic fail, and 2. Piston crack which leads to engine top overhaul. My advice would be try to avoid 2012-2013 Jetta, and get a 2014 one, but you still need to standby some cash for repair and some wear & tear parts replacement as the car is already more than 5 years. Best would be go for those less-than-5-years facelift singlecharge Jetta if you have the budget, the engine is prone to be more reliable too.

的确最重要还是要看驾车的人这样去操作 我本身也是驾着peugeot 3008 2010年款的，2010年买驾到现在问题也是没有，刚买的时候是冷气pump有问题，冷气有时冷有时不冷，另外water pump也是厂家保给我~ 我想说的是喜欢那辆车就多了解它，而不是听身边的人说，因为第一他们本身没体验过就只是听说！！！听说听说=.= 不会顾车的给你驾farreri engine也给你卖掉啦！！！

As long as they have update the TCU, changed to mineral DSG oil, they are more likely to be less issue... More likely laa..

美国6 speed dsg保养有点小贵。四年前la 还可以200刀找店里做一次。我今年去了湾区附近，400刀做一次。现在7speed dsg 貌似已经不需要service 了。
