VW Jetta has 2.0 Liters TDi Turbo Charged Diesel Engine with 6 gear Automatic Transmission and Skoda Octavia also has the same 2.0 Liters TDi Turbo Diesel Engine with 6 Spd Automatic Transmission. Here in this video we are doing top Speed Acceleration test comparison between Jetta & Octavia. Talking to the Features of these cars they supports a high level of features inside the cabin as they both belongs to Upper class sedan range and also carrying class leading design from the outside however Jetta is a clean looker and just have simple exterior design. Both of these cars are well-known for their powerful engine with decent ride quality among this range. If talking to Usability then Jetta is quite simple and most of the professional working people intrested in it whereas the Octavia is having a cleverly designed exterior styling with awesome feature full matching interiors version is quite liked by lot of youngsters for their sportier and fun loving drive and also they both have their own fan following so it may be possible that one could be happy with these results and the other should not be. Guys, this is actually correct. The EA189 engine (the one involved in scandal) actually produces almost 20 PS more in real life than the Octavia's EA288 which actually produces 140 PS. RaceDynamics had dynoed both engines : EA288 puts out 121 WHP while EA189 puts out 138 WHP. Both were with the DQ250 DSG. This is why the Jetta was faster despite it being 50 Kgs heavier and having a full fuel load.

Jetta full thank of fuel and Skoda allmost empty and Jetta still faster! This is like you have one person more in Jetta and that influence on acceleration a lot! That means that Jetta is much faster or lighter that Octavia with same engine🤔

The Jetta has the edge over the Skoda overall. And as for the cheap looking interiors point for the Jetta, some of the materials used for making the interior especially the plastic panels for the dashboard may be cheap in feel but are still great in terms of looks and the way they are polished. The rear seats may be uncomfortable but you still feel like you're in a premium sedan. It's an awesome buy at it's price, especially the new and updated model with LEDs. The new one is a great looker too, especially in the ocean blue colour shade.

This jetta is tuned 🙄 Better change the title to “ Tuned jetta vs Octavia”.Stock octavia can easily smoke stock jetta. Its more responsive and also got a greater power to weight ratio.

You’re right, as an owner of both jetta 2.0 tdi dsg and the octavia 2.0 tdi dsg, the octavia is the faster car and jetta doesn’t stand a chance, although the difference is not that much due to the additional 3 hp in octavia compared to the jetta (143 ps in octavia and 140 ps in jetta). A tuned jetta will perform much better than this jetta in this video.
