New Passat comes with three petrol and four diesel engine options to chose listed bellow. For transmission, customers can chose either 6-speed manual gearbox or automatic 7-speed DSG. 4Motion all-wheel drive is available on the strongest petrol engine and two strongest diesel engines. You can also choose Passat GTE as the Plug-in Hybrid version.

If u recall, we were getting the world Passat in North America, but we complained that it was too small & too pricy. They pulled it in 2009.

VW occupies a weird space in North America. I think that's why we get little to none of their European offerings. This car would be instantly compared to the Audi A4 in terms of pricing. We get the Arteon, which borrows heavily from this car. It's not selling, and I doubt this would do much better.
