Excellent video; really useful. I would just like to add a warning that the switch/handle assembly can crack in the middle, as you pry it from the front, if it's really stuck (like it just has with me). I couldn't risk it breaking altogether, so had to resort to sliding a large flathead steel screwdriver (as opposed to a plastic spatula) along the front, along the gap which was now there from the front being raised, for more leverage where it was stuck (the handle section). It worked without the crack becoming bigger fortunately. Yours came off nice and easy, but mine had never been off before, so was much harder to pry loose.

Thanks, your video. It was a BIG help with dismantling my 2007 Polo's inner door! I needed to replace the wing mirror assembly. The only significant problem was that each of the clips-that are supposed to remain attached to the door card if your door is typical-instead remained attached to the metal interior of the door in one solid piece. Not a wonderful design from Volkswagen. ;(

Hey! Any idea if the polo has keyless entry built in? I was thinking of getting a remote key. Was kinda hard to see from the video if they have a separate module so if you could shine some light on this it would be awesome.
