I drive a mark 5 polo and it’s very nice and reliable. Never had a break down after 72k miles. The new Polo looks great. Definitely interested. 👍🏼

I had the previous model 1.2tsi r line it was a cracking little motor it drove like a much bigger car, the engine was a beaut! and i got 60mpg once too.

Speaking of the Polo GTI, how come in 2006, they never sold the 177bhp Cup Edition version of the 9N3 Polo GTI in the UK? My guess is that at the time, they didn’t want it stealing sales from the Mk5 Golf GTI in Britain. (though I might be wrong)

5:17 I don't know about the UK, but in Germany, the class you're talking about is called the "Polo-Class", so apparently this one is the class leader (I will not judge though, since I haven't driven any of these cars yet.)

Why? Because you watched a commercial? Inform yourself before you spend your money on that crap. The 1.0 TSI has horrtible emissions and fails EU 6c by a huge margin, diesel cars with these emissions have been banned for over 6 years (!) now, soon gasoline cars will have to follow the same rules. Also the Polo is unrelaible, overpriced and VW is committing one crime after another. Don't be fooled by reviewers who are controlled by them.

So presumably the next Golf will be closer in size to the current Passat and the next Up will be closer in size to the outgoing Polo. When is this supersizing of cars going to end? I have a 2014 polo as my first car and love it ! However it was just in the garage because of squeaks in the suspension and the water that comes out of the window (dunno what it’s called 😊) stopped working and Ive had it only 2 months lol (bought it 2nd hand at 36,000 miles ) still love my princess regardless ! Will probably try and Audi next , i wonder what these reviewers actually drive

Honestly I feel the new car is trying a bit hard and gets fussy. It's a shame as it seems in detriment to the VW identity. I don't know if they're doing it in sight of the Chinese market but I don't think our tastes and theirs seem to be integrating too well.

f I were in the market for a supermini, it would be the Polo - no contest! Too bad I'm an American, and the SUV craze combined with cheap gasoline has pretty much KILLED the supermini segment here (and the Polo was never offered here anyway!)! >:-(

I bought vw polo/2004 old, a month agoI, 1.2 12V petrol engine, I tested on the city road, it spend 8l petrol gas for 60/km how is this possible, even a lamburghini doesn't spent this much🙀

I would always avoid smaller cc engines in cars. They are working harder with less torque at low rpm and will wear out faster certainly with heavy footed drivers. A car of this size should be minimum 1.4 for petrol and 1.5 for diesel. Diesels should always give 40mpg average all day long with engines lasting twice the mileage mimimum and turbos lasting longer also.. just remember diesels are only fully fuel efficient when up to operating temperature...eg 10 miles+ from cold

Yes, a nice quiet refined little car, but once you are cruising fast on our crap roads there is still quite a bit of road roar. Avoid this by buying , say, a bmw 5 series, or ear plugs. Ear plugs are cheaper though.

What about that line on every review car's hood? Also, give it a tad higher quality interior and it's perfect. Also, 1.4T engine would be the best IMO. Also, don't get a diesel in 2018.
