That sounds very interesting. I just ordered a heritage certificate from VW Germany and hoped that there might be something different on there but it just gives the specs on the day it was born. Nice to have for my records but doesn’t help much. Thanks for your help. Maybe i should contact VW Spain. What you say makes total sense as the same van was built until 2003 and they have EU approval.

You should have become fluent in Spanish and integrated properly . British exceptionlism only applies in Britain

@@sarahann530 I have and my wife is from here and I do speak the language maybe not great but I try! I don’t have any British friends here. Thanks for your comment.

@Roamingbustards Then why are you having a problem understanding the paperwork if your wife is Spanish ?
