However in the sub 30L segment (or the 99.9% percentile cutoff for Indians) there's nothing else between Octavia and Taigun (Karoq and Troc discontinued) that provides the kind of driving dynamics even remotely. PS. Octavia is 187 bhp and over 200kg heavier - so not a crazy difference in power to weight ratio.

Took a test drive on Sunday of 1.0L automatic & man it was amazing to drive, refinement is great, looks way better than the Kushaq on both front i.e, interior and exterior. Definitely, VW has used price cuts, and the plastic quality of AC vents is also good(not that bad as stated by some KZbinrs). 3 people on the rear seat is not gonna happen due to seat bolstering.

I personally feel the Rapid/Vento have a better build quality than this and the Kushaq. I've driven both the cars back to back and there is a significant amount of difference which you can clearly notice. The VW group has definitely done some cost cutting but these cars are way better than the Korean rivals.

It's a petrol engine so you won't get that Torque Punch you have come to expect from a Ford Diesel engine. And steering is good but not as sharp as a Ford's, but good enough

I have a vento 2019 1.2L DSG...i took an extended warranty package for 2 years(so total 6 years warranty) and a service package for 5 years. Now its been 2 years and I have not spent any amount till now for anything during service(very few for the oil changes like gear box and engine which won't cover in the service package) In the service package they also offer change of 2 disks, break pads, 2 wiper blades and a battery once in these 5 years. So literally you don't have to spend a penny atleast for 5-6 years... Not to tell the drive is unmatchable... I just wanted to clear the doubt for you.. Many people has this doubt ,even I had it before buying. So if you get the extended warranty and the service package you won't have to worry about the costs.

I had purchased the Polo highline TSI automatic, the torque converter one. I purchased the SVP (service value package) for 5 years, and also got the 4+2 extended warranty. The SVP 5 plan is simple 1000 km service, 15,000 km yearly service- this cost me only 3465/- 30,000 km service were my wipers were replaced free as it was included in the SVP, Cost me 4000/- 45,000/- service which I will be due for This includes 1 pair front break pads that will be changed, This 5 year SVP included 2 pair of wipers , one battery replacement, 1 pair of front brake pads. All in all it was for 56,000/- i paid 43,000 with discount during the purchase of the polo. Till now my ABS sensors gave out they were replaced in warranty, my right side ovrm was replaced as my car washing fellow did some harm to it wilhile washing, it was also replaced under warranty. Only thing is you have to find the right dealer, Mody auto VW in Mumbai is an excellent dealer.

Hey Bharath, None of them except Xuv 300 are Ncap rated yet, so if you want a car that's already tested, you only have XUV as 300 has an option. Now, per the choices only listed, I will share my opinion: Go with Punch if your maximum usage is in city and you are on a budget, get the amt for added convenience. Keep in mind the space will be a compromise for rear passengers compared to nexon and other sub compact Crossovers in the segment. XUV 700: That's a very big car and buying manual is good as long as your max usage is on highway. The diesel is going to be very powerful and probably decent fuel efficiency. So, higher on road price, higher maintenance cost, fuel cost, insurance cost yearly but it should be a great highway cruiser and safe given Mahindra is focusing on safety now. Maximum usage in city with a manual XUV is going to be painful affair. Moving on to XUV 300 W6, looks to be one of the best options here for your given it's very safe, AMT is decent in this car only shortcomings are boot space and a few features missing in w6 which you can get as accessories. Overall a very good buy in the range your seeing, also ground clearance is decent but not best in segment. But, awesome to drive, safest car so far as tested , diesel is powerful and fuel efficient as well. Taigun Or Kushaq: Should be a good option as well but if your okay with a 1L engine and a manual. Base model is decently equipped. Very good for city but might feel a bit underpowered for highway in manual, automatic works better with this engine. Note,: Only XUV 300 is a tried and tested product and others are new and might face initial niggles. Go with them if you are fine with it. Most importantly, test drive all of them with your family and observe which car makes both you and your family most happy and choose the one. Write your requirements, usage pattern and budget which will further help you narrow down on your preferred car.
