You got a few facts wrong, such as it has 74/75 bhp insead of 79, and you should've added that only the bluemotion edition emits 96g/kg on the co2, as the non-bluemotion versions produce just over 105. Also, the boot floor drops a layer lower, no need to remove it for that extra depth! Only little things I noticed, I'm sure I saw something else too..but nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed the review, it was cheerful and honest, and the first review I've seen from a younger person! Thumbs up!

I like the Up! I have since day one I just love the styling when I see one on the road I can't help but look, so if you see someone in a silver bmw staring at you in a VW Up! It's probably me lol sorry about that

It's to do with the boot, usually it's for a hatchback and you can access the boot from the cabin

3 doors means you can access the boot has a door ie the window usually lifts up, with a two door you cant access the boot generally a saloon is 2 door and a hatchback is 3 door or a saloon can be 4 doors while hatchback or estate is 5 door!

This is a really good small car.. The low kerb weight of 929kg combined with the great 3 cylinder 74 bhp natural aspirated engine makes it seem quicker than it is.. 0-62 mph is 13.2 seconds but feels faster..

At 73 kg and 181 cm I don't think that is the problem, the problem is that i have to stop and unbuckle to do it safely. Notice the word "safely"!

***** You have to unbuckle, or at the very least get some slack into the belt, let go of the steering wheel, so you don't give it any unwanted jerks while leaning over onto the passenger seat, to press the button, to roll down the passenger window. Try that at 150 km/h! Possible, yes, but safe? Think not!

I question the shiny plastic on the dash. 1 its gonna get full of dust and finger smudges from the kids . 2 How bad will the sun reflection be on that ,ok maybe not an issue in the U.K

Not very great. I'm not sure about the new Up!'s with TSI engines, but the MPI with 60 hp will apparently not accelerate a lot in 5th gear, doing 80 km/h, and if you get the automatic ASG one (no DSG available), it will rev to redline and even go a little past that pretty much all the time you're trying to overtake on the highway... It's a city car though...

For a city car it's great. 74bhp version will easily cruise at 70 with no issues just don't expect it to accelerate from 70 up a hill very quickly.

Our diesel VW Jetta broke down with major problems often. It left my family stranded on our family trip. Their service and quality S U C K S! We are going Japanese. I'm so Sad there is no more Quality in German like the 80's German cars. I really believed in them and wanted to support them. Now their saying should be Färfrombroken instead of farfegnugen.

Strange, VW is constantly voted as the most reliable car brand by owners all over the world, the 2014 vote by Which (UK version of Consumer Reports) was basically a walkover with VW group having 6 out of top 10 of the models with happiest customers. On youtube however any VW review prompts comments blasting the reliability of the brand, I smell trolls......

reiknir VW has never been mechanically reliable not even once, at least outside their home Europe where there are full of nationalistic and patriotic proud Europeans. They are kind of a sign of wealth which shows you can afford a German family car with almost super car repair bill. UK's Which is clearly sponsored by VW. Jus watch their car reviews on youtube. @@reiknir They must be talking to only the new owners, Once they are a few years old they are unreliable, And they are overpriced for the market, Two MK 2 Golfs I knew were crap, Thirsty and not great to drive, One snapped it`s cambelt and destroyed it`s engine, Making a interference engine with a cheap rubber belt is cheap crap engineering whomever manufacturers it, I had a quick look online and they want over £ 13000 For the base model, eBay has a damaged example with 128000 miles wanting £ 1950 That is barely six years old, This is a economy based city car, They must be driving it to the toilet, Pointless Heated seats and stupid sat nav, Don`t bother, Just lower the price of the car
