The ceramic shirts and hoodies I have are what I’d say are the opposite of abrasion resistant… The areas that made any type of contact with anything, (hanger, wrists,) wore out within a few times of wearing them and eventually the material turns see through so it looks like you’re wearing a nylon legging shirt.

I wouldn't try to burn the jacket, it's made out of dyneema and I've read it has a relatively low melt point.

Yeah I actually mailed Vollebak to ask them about it’s melting point and they said they wouldn’t recommend trying🤣they said the hoodie was fine to burn though.

Really hope you'll do the review of the hoodie. I have the ceramic shirt myself and really love it. Getting a lot of positive comments on it as well, but I'm really hesitant of getting some of the other stuff because of the price tags and there are hardly any real world reviews out there that are more realistic than their sometimes absurd sales pitches and marketing stories on the website.

Most of their products are really good. But don't expect the stuff to be indestructible. Even though there are made of very high quality materials and textiles, you will have signs of wear and tear after some time. But for me the top selling point of vollebak is the design and asthetics - minimal yet technical at the same time. Vollebak tries to be separated from the mainstream and so is their costumer base.

@@morukuser I agree, and their customer support is excellent as well, but with their price tags some of the quality issues should not be acceptable. Ofcourse it isn't indestructible, but for instance the logo on the back of the ceramic shirt wears of very quickly. Either that should not happen at all, OR they shouldn't have put it in the shirt in the first place. Same with the fact that the soft label on the bottom inside on my car on fiber grey shirt left a rectangular stain on the shirt itself after hanging it to dry. They were super cool by sending me a replacement, but that shouldnt have passed QC imho in the first place.

Luckily so far they’ve been great. The jacket is pretty weird and extremely light.

@@MrNegroni well they have a range of waterproof stuff ...from resistant all the way stormproof so its up to you ...i have the 100 year jacket its waterproof up to 43,000 mm but they have a parka specially for water

I have returned the jacket, this is the most ridiculous piece of clothing I have ever held in my hands. Uncomfortable, and no fit at all. I wouldn't even pay $10 for this plastic garbage.
