If the attacker contacted the line with his foot it still would be illegal. An opponent player lands on his foot entirely on the opponent's space, therefore the attacker interfered with opponent's play (violation of rule 11.2.1).

Because of a spiker like this i landed on his foot after blocking and tore 2 ligaments on my ankle
