I mentioned my brother the other episode in regards to body language on the court. I think it is very easy to look at someone and assume they are not trying or don't care based on body language. This is one of the hardest things to "get over" as a coach. You have to accept that not everyone may look the same when they compete and really get to know your player so you understand them. If you listen to Kenma speak you can see the benefits he brings to the team immediately.

Every episode seeing Adam's perspective it makes me excited for later episodes and seasons when they get to more proper matches, just like with Sarah the first time haha. I think also we're just over the hump most shows have where the first few need time to build up the main characters, the show's concept, etc. so if Adam enjoying it now it bodes well for the rest of the series. I'm also interested if Sarah is noticing things with the second watch that she didn't notice the first time but is noticing now with her future knowledge (though obviously that can be difficult to discuss since we don't want to spoil things for Adam haha)

CRYING, SOBBING, GIGGLING, KICKING MY FEEEEETTTTT I really love this episode because the boys meet the boys, and now they are making their own history! Watching the Karasuno boys make more friends in their volleyball world always makes me happy. The practice match between Karasuno and Nekoma is something I never stop talking about. I'm really excited and can't wait to watch Adam and Sarah react to the next episode!!!! The beautiful quote from Grandpa Ukai, the coach, always gives me chills. GO, MY BOY! YEAH, KEEP GOING!!!!!!!!! I think what makes the last scene interesting is how people react when Hinata can figure out how to hit the ball but doesn't score. You can see Ukai's big smile on his face, and he doesn't care even if it's not a point; he's just happy to see that Hinata can do it. The second one is Takeda; he reacts like it's a pity that Hinata can do it but it's not a point because he knows that Hinata tried so hard and wants to make it right. (When I watched this episode for the first time, I felt EXACTLY like Takeda, but for the second time, I felt like Ukai! It's so cool that Haikyu!! gave more perspective to feelings with characters!) And more importantly, Hinata's face when he said, "One more" Ohhhhhhh, that's so satisfying to watch!!!!! PS. Welcome Sarah to Thailand!!! This is like the first real match Karasuno faces, with all the roles in and against a full fledged team. So we get a treat of both teams, both analysis and both playing. Haikyuu is great at being almost neutral in matches to the point you maybe feel you want the other team to win also. And another great thing Haikyuu does for this first half of the season is that the episode will end when the match is halfway. Think of episode 4 or episode 9. That is bc the match's outcome is not what matters, the story and the characters matter, the moments matter. I remember I watched the whole 1st season in a day bc I was so hooked every episode

Hey Adam, if someone asked you what volleyball is about, what would you definitely put in that answer? We have already experienced amazing moments in the anime and this episode had another one. And I guess we could say that all of it is volleyball which makes your answer kinda harder and bigger in a way haha glad you enjoying it and thanks for your time.

Oh this is a great question. Without spending time crafting a through response I would highlight the following in no particular order. 1) It's one of the ultimate team sports. I think in volleyball its really easy to pick on a player if their skills are not upto the level of the competition. It's hard to hide bad players and they have a drastic affect on the outcome of the game. 2) It's a highly technical sport. There are many aspects of the game that you can't just overcome of physical abilities which I think also makes it unique. 3) Despite number 1 and 2 it's a sport you can play for your whole life and can be enjoyed at any level. These would be the first few things that come to mind.

Oboyoboyoboy did Sarah & Adam just adopt Kenma?! Yah!!! Maybe it's bc my googley eyes for kuroo and nekoma are showing but im so glad they are giving props to Inuoka. I also am so glad to hear that Noya is in the running for Bro House. He's in top 3 in my love house bc his mentality is phenomenal. I'm jumping way ahead but looking forward to seeing yall react to super cool moves from not only the Freak Duo but also everyone else 🤭

Lmao Sarah just goes off on him every time 😂 You were both right and wrong: he didn’t say anything directly about the open eyes, but he definitely did say “That’s so interesting!” during that part. He just didn’t comment until it showed Ukai’s reaction. Just let the man breath for god’s sake lol

Sarah saying sports is is so beautiful that there is so many different ways to be good reminds me of my favorite line from the manga... "We aren't limited to only one way of being great." -- from Hoshiumi Korai

I was flabbergasted last time when Adam nailed Kenma's personality trait right away and it soothes my soul that Kenma is speedtracked into the brohouse. As much as I disliked the BBC TV show Sherlock, I love one of the quotes in it: "Smart is the new sexy" and I'm definitely in love with the way Kenma thinks.

Kenma almost made it into the Bro house. So far in the Bro house is Suga and Tanaka for sure I know since I made a list to keep track of all who are in Adam's Bro House and I don't remember Daichi ever being in there but I will add him if he really is. I love how you both like how Hinata was tying to hit the ball with his eyes open and that you both felt bad when the ball was out,

In watching this video back to do the captions, I noticed that we missed mentioning Tanaka. I am pretty sure that Daichi has been in it though, but now you have me second-guessing myself...

@SarahPavanVolleyball I am so sorry about that. I know Adam really likes Daichi. I just don't remember him saying if he made into the Bro house but I will add him if that is what Adam wants.

@@SuperDatsyuk13 I might not have every officially added him as maybe the bro house concept came around post first meeting of Daichi. But he is in there.

I'm pretty sure daichi is in the bro house. When he first met daichi the bro house concept wasn't established yet so there wasn't an "official" addition like for suga or tanaka but he said that he likes daichi from the very beginning so I think it's pretty clear. I mean he literally wanted daichi's Jersey number😂

@@adamschulz9475 oh ok than I will add him to the list than because I was not sure sorry about that Adam. So here is your full list of you is in your Bro House so far. Daichi, Suga, and Tanaka. Hopefully Kenma makes it in and maybe Oikawa can too

I love the different perspectives that Adam brings. I am cutious of hwhat he would think about Ukai and how he would handle the team and his decision for them during the game. Coach Ukai is the GOAT for me ngl. This really makes me anticipate the drafting coz I am also formulating a dream team in my head and the players I would want in my team. If I am being honest they change a lot over the years because again I see the characters differently everytime I rewatch the show. There is always going to be something that you missed from the last time you watched it. And then there’s the main resource which is the manga that’s a whole new topic to discuss. 😂 Nost of the characters are really complex but Kenma is soooo different than you average athlete or player. He sees everything as an obstacle or a quest to finish and grind through. I could never. I’d quit halfway. 😅 and his friendship with Kuroo is so precious. Like they both needed each other.

Kenma will always hold a special place in my heart. I love him! I totally feel you on opinions changing. I am noticing so many new things this time through. It has been really interesting.

I love his character. I'm also a big RPG game player so I completely relate the quest/obstacle mentality. I really like solving problems. It just shows you that motivation and competitiveness can take many different forms. He may have started because of his friend, but now every match/team is a puzzle to solve. I love that.

@@adamschulz9475 Haikyu is really a hodge-podge of diff. characters. It’s hard to not find a character to relate to or you find amazing. When I was watching season I really gravitated towards Asahi. Finally someone got to complain about the weekly upload. Honestly I'm so impressed by how Sarah is able to tolerate not watching Haikyuu A WHOLE WEEK!!!!😂 I have finished the series AND stage drama twice eversince I followed watching the reactions. And even went through the manga once again😂 Anyone ever suggested Sarah to watch the stage play for Haikyuu????? Every Haikyuu fan should watch it cuz the actors and the producing team were doing unbelievably well, way beyong my expectation for "real man" plays. It's incredible to see them came up with genius ideas and ways to present a volleyball game on stage. The plays for the first three seasons are just legend. The actors are working so damn hard for the show. Please go watch it!!!!! I'm sure there will be Eng subs version somewhere. It doesn't necessary to make a reaction vid for it (really appreciate if you do so but know the play will be in hours so it will be hard), all I want is to share the amzing love and performance of the plays showed for Haikyuu 😭😭😭😭😭
