Türkiye's only problem at the moment is that it has no team. for Vargas. I think the only good thing Coach Santarelli did was get Vargas back in shape. since the girl had been inactive for 5 to 6 months due to her injury. This only works as training for her. but the girl has not shown herself 100%. What it means is that they are saving it for the Olympics. Well little by little it is returning to its dangerous form. and Vargas only needs one team. And that's Coach Santarelli's job. and let's hope it does. I wish the best to the Turkish team and Vargas.

People who are complaining about Hancock not making the Olympic roster this year should watch this match. So many misconnects between Hancock and the outsides…. Tight sets, trap sets, wide sides… I think people are still hung up on her days at Penn State… and she doesn’t play at that level anymore.

@@onsewatch it’s the libero usually has a different jersey. They’re usually the defensive specialist of the team and they also can’t spike so I’m assuming that’s why they have a different jersey so it’s pretty obvious if they spike the ball or not.

С удовольствием посмотрел ещё раз матч, полный борьбы, азарта, эмоций и большого желания обеих команд. Атмосфера в зале была потрясающая, болельщики неистовствовали, что придало дополнительный колорит и придало сил командам. Хорошо, что турчанки уложились в четыре сета, ибо случись тай-брейк и моральное преимущество было бы на стороне девушек из США. Не хочу показаться ворчуном, но поведение некоторых игроков показалось не совсем корректном по отношению к сопернику, однако спишем излишнюю эмоциональность на принципиальность и важность матча.

I was wrapped up into Volleyball during 2020. I remember what a star Jordan Thompson was at least when she was healthy. Since 2020 I have barely seen her play. It's on TV right now with China vs USA and I still don't see her playing. What is the deal with her? She hurt all the time or is she not as good as I thought?

The noice making during serving is really distracting and gives unfair advantage when done to one team but not the other. I first saw this couple of days ago against the US women team facing Poland in an 2022 match and did not expect to see it done here.

Elif barely set her middles which tires her wingers. It's a shame cause they have an awesome middle players

yes Elif is a very pin-heavy setter, she plays safe and goes very often for Vargas. Cansu on the other hand trusts her middles much more and her sets when the pass is off the net is much better, although Elif has (or had in that season) a slightly better connection with Eda in the slides. I prefer Cansu's style, because it is less predictable and does not put the team in trouble the second Vargas stumbles a little bit. But Elif is much taller and therefore a better blocker. This year Santarelli usually played with Elif when the setter was front court and Cansu when backcourt, which seems like a good trade-off to me. However, Elif is much younger and will stay with the national team probably longer than Cansu. I'm sure she will also learn to trust herself more when it comes to connecting with the middles.
