For those who don’t know, this isn’t USA A teams, they’re using this chance to rest up the A team who has just finished their club season and probably training for the Olympic cuz non of the players from this roster is the squad that will perform at Olympic, but the good thing is to give these new players a chance and experience cuz they will someone will have to represent USA in the future

No, men's club just finished so many of the players are recovering from that. This is the same for Japan's players as well. The first week of men's vnl is always some b team players, we should see the a team next week.

True. Just because the highlights don't show any US points doesn't mean they played that bad. If the scores were like 25 to 10, people should be worried. But that US team trying to gain more international experience is not doing bad. Plenty of time to train and get ready before most of the senior team retires.

@@Official-OpenAI yes. They've just trained as a team 2 weeks as much. USA base team has been over a decade together. Defalco as one of the newest in his VNL debut made a lot of mistakes. It's normal to fail with all that pressure. They just need time and training

@@Official-OpenAImost of them just came from NCAA and don’t even have professional league to play as USA doesn’t have one. Most of their A and B teams play overseas. But most of these rookies probably have never played in the senior level as competitive as VNL. Gabi Garcia represent Puerto Rico before but just recently switched federations. The rest are NCAA stars. But they fought well even though they lost. Scores are pretty close.

Not they not!! France, Poland, Italy and my Slovenija was better and then came Brasil, Japan with all best. Usa dont make 1/4 final. You see. The last world and european championship always win France, Italy, Poland. My country Slovenija was 3 last year and we beat strong France for bronze medal. With 2 milion people not bad. They put Louati against the weaker teams. Louati, the best looking player in all of volleyball IMHO, is not up to par for games vs. Poland and Brazil.

Louati is a very good player he just couldn't outshine the other outside in the main team. He was part of the tokyo roster and played as a serve substitute (i mean he was an OH but only came in to serve for chineneyeze) This season he was the second OH in resovia with TJ Defalco and won the CEV Cup , he also benched Cebulj (slovenia OH ) so yeah he is a VERY good player just got outshined by clevenot

Good level shown by this US team. The game was nice to watch !! On French side, Faure made a great game, very reliable and efficient. He can be chosen before Boyer for the Olympics... And Seddik is interesting, maybe too young right now, but will be there in the next years

I was looking at the olympic roster 2024 for men's USA 22 returning players and 8 alternate for olympic paris games,. I do not know if they confirmed the alternates but the 2 that I feel would defiantly help are not on the roster at this time as alternates Hanes #9 and Garcia#3. That to me is a big over sight, they are such strong players. Not saying anything against the ones that may of may not be on the roster as a alternate.

The hardest position to replace for team USA will be the opposite. No one has the technique and the class of Matt Anderson yet. USA has some rookies from college but most of the players on court are already professional players (playing in Germany, France, Poland...) and over 25 (Kessel is 33, Marshman 30). We just haven't seen them in international competitions up until now. The middle blocker Seddik from France is a good prospect, 210 cm and only 18 years old.

you can tell this is the b team, the A is way better althought the B is more than ok .The A team is a candidate to win the olympics with Poland France Japan Cuba Argentine Brasil. …… France comes out of a defeat against Slovenia that is another good team . it is a pity Boyer did not play ,it is a pleasure to watch him during the warm up spikes where he really shines .Pure brutal explosions. I am sure the a team will do very well because i saw them playing lately they are really a very broken-in and very compact team like Poland

Not to be sarcastic, while the original USA team are resting or training for the Olympics, these other foreign seasoned teams are out there playing and depending their standings around the world. If the USA team don’t care about depending their ranking, their choice. Should have not subscribed on this years VNL. I don’t have the motivation to watch rookies play vs seasons and professional teams. Sure, it’s a learning experience for them but not on an international setting! Sorry.
