This helped out a lot. I didn't know how much alcohol to add until I seen this video. Also anyone that has a Elmeco machine, this is the exact same model as Elmeco but without the stickers on it.

I do not need to add ice, correct?

Correct, do not add ice. It will damage the auger blades. The machine makes it's own "ice" by freezing the water that you put in it by turning it into slush. I know this reply is 2 years old but I hope it helps someone else out :P
