Yeah Jay that looks pretty close to a 100-point car, beautiful job. That 283 stroker's got a small journal 327 crank and probably some 307 Pistons. It had a nice little rumble to it. 👍

I had a girlfriend in high school that had one of these. She drove me around in it. Nothing fancy about it but it got us around. I know how it was supposed to look when it was 15 years old. I would say this is a bit over restored. I remember the car in high school and there was no carpeting just the vinyl flooring in it. Again, not fancy at all.

Yes, the 55 bel air “sedan” was in a two door with a “b” pillar and a two door “hard-top” without a “b” pillar.

Hard to say, maybe they were never chosen as an option? Just never installed by the dealer or customer? Removed during a restoration by a later owner?
