This is not only a piece of history, but it is an excellent example of industrial art at its finest! Wonderful example of what muscle cars can be close your eyes and you right their in the drive inn restaurant of American Graffiti.

Had one of these in 1969 No engine no trans when i bought it...... bought it for $150.00 Painted gypsy red shorline beige. rebuilt a 1960 283 chevy engine with a 3 speed column shift. Had 3 of these 55 Nomads in my life. I believe the 55 Nomad was the true Nomad because It had its own chrome on the fenders, eyebrows and doors.. Which was potmetal chromed .

This Nomad and the ‘33 Buick Model 68 you previously sold are my absolute favorite, high quality custom restorations. Not only because of the show quality but because they were built to drive, not trailer queens. The only thing missing on this Nomad is cruise control for a nice relaxing trip (unless it’s hidden?). Thanks, Jay! 👍👍👍

Yesterday here in Sarasota on Fruitville Road I saw a 57 Nomad that was quite the sight. Its butt end was so jacked up it looked painful to drive. The geometry for the front end, well I think it was a moot point. Maybe I’m more of a traditionalist. The paint on this Nomad is so good it really hurts my eyes on my 85 inch Samsung. Great Video Thank You 🙏

Hey Jay, love the channel watch every video, double din/single din a 69 Camaro is a single din. late 80s and up are double din, strictly the size of the hole in the dash for the radio so that touchscreen fits in any car that has a double din. hope that helps have a great one.👍

Beautiful Restoration. Color is killer! Close to $200 thousand is "way" out of my price range though. Yikes!
@1911MikeinOregon6 ай бұрын
$200,000 is a lot of money but I'm guessing that the owner easily spent $400,000+ to have it built plus the wait time. If a person has the means to buy it, you get instant gratification, and it would be awful hard to build one that was nicer, and for the money you save buying one that is already done, you could buy another car built to the same level. Having a custom car built is a huge waste of money, but for people that can afford to have a car built, most aren't too worried about that.
@pitman69926 ай бұрын
@1911MikeinOregon Absolutely gorgeous car, but just curious, why would someone put $400,000 into a rebuild only to sell it for $200,000 after rarely even getting into it?? If that truly is the case then some ppl have too much money!! 😂 I hope they give to children's charities like St. Judes or Shriners hospitals!!!🙏❤️😎👍

How in Gods name, can common folk, like myself, afford these type of classic vehicles, anymore. The 'Barrett Jacksons/ Mecums Auctions, and thus, has made it impossible for us to join 'For the only Rich' to enjoy. How sad is that. No need to respond. Like I said , I understand it's a rich persons pastime, anymore🤬

@frankrobinson54536 ай бұрын
Not a hater here, but for all the high-quality work and huge money investment on a resto-mod, why wouldn't you spend a few bucks to put electric windows. Please tell me they did and the crank handles are deceiving. I absolutely love this car, but the oil leak on the floor at 10:40 didn't go unnoticed. Hopefully that was a spill from a top off. Obviously, this way out of my price range I could ever afford, but if I were perfection would be necessary.
