Roadster Shop in my opinion is building the highest quality and best driving hotrod on the planet, consistently. Not a one off that you roll into the show. These guys are deploying high levels of creativity, knowledge and technology to make dreams come true. It's been fun to watch their evolution from putting out nice cars to elite levels of production. Hard work always pays off

@@RoadsterShop How do you determine Spec vs FastTrack chassis? is it the horsepower? just personal preference from the client? If I want to build a manual FBMustang 65 750HP at the crank (don't care how much goes to the wheels), not interested into racetrack: is fastrack chassis an overkill ?
@RoadsterShop2 ай бұрын
@@richardbarthelemy4431 primarily budget and intended use - if you are solely driving on the street but want upgraded road manners and handling, SPEC would be the pick - if you want ultimate road handling (IRS options etc) and may also want to take the car to a track/roadrace/autoX then FAST TRACK might be your best bet.

And I gotta agree with the under hood appearance and especially the orange piping... I seen it when you uploaded the pictures during the build on your site along with the "fuelie" type top hat and I was just like _YESSSSSSS!!!!_ 😍 That was, whoever thought of that, needs an F'ing raise, because that "look" is absolutely stunning... anyone who's turbocharging anything from the 70s back should absolutely be saying "you know what you did to that 57? I want THAT!" it's perfection, seriously, absolutely stunning execution 👌🏻

For your edification, I had a '69 charger with a 440 bored out, healthy cam and a weiand 2/4 tunnel ram with 2 Holley double pumpers on it. Had the chain the motor down. Reversed the pattern on the torque flight ( so not as to slap it into reverse by accident). I didn't put a $100 bill on the dash, but put a $20 ( back then, that WAS money). Had tons of people try to grab the money, but nobody ever did ( including my dad). And yes-, I speak with a southern " accent". For what it's worth, many of the contestants refused to ride in the car after that, including dad.

Hey, that the same car & color combo my Dad use to own when I was a kid except it was a four door, not two. I remember when the car sat in the front yard for many years until my Dad sold it to someone unknown. The car did have an original V8 in it. It was an automatic til the tranny gave out. So my Dad swapped it for a manual floor four speed. As I got older & in highschool, I wished my Dad gave me the car so I can own it & maybe get it running again. To this day, I really missed the car.

Plenty of trans shops build T56 Magnums to hold tons of power, Tick, GeForce, Grannas, Bowler ECT.....Tick doesn't even give a HP or TQ rating, they just say "if you make over 1200hp, pick this one, we guarantee it". Anything from close ratio T56s, to stock ratio T56s, to 4spd T56s, to sequential and face plated and dog ringed T56s, pick your poison and ratio packs and enjoy.... there's another company who builds billet AWD and 4WD adapter cases for them as well, so you can build a nasty 1500hp turbo LS, with say, a sequential T56, with AWD, and throw it in an old S10 Blazer or Jimmy or Bravada and have yourself a disgusting Typhoon like creature with a manual that nobody is going to touch on the streets 😅

OK So you immediately see the owner of the classic 57 is a non car guy.. What he had was the cash to have something built .. because NO actual motorhead would have been ok with leaving the body undone . A REAL car guy would have had such reverence for the 57 he would have completed the car to the point of it looking as good as it runs .. He clearly DID NOT. He left the "patina" like so so many trendy clowns do today going as far as to actually laying coats of satin clear down over the top of worn off paint & bare steel ... Just like in the magazines ..
@RoadsterShop2 ай бұрын
Actually, REAL car guys recognize that passing judgement on someone else's build, financial situation and ideas is irrelevant, childish and narrow minded. REAL car guys know that if a build isn't done to their specific taste, they can respect the effort and STFU if they dont like something about it knowing the owner likely does like it. REAL car guys know that modified vehicles are a reflection of the owner's tastes and not built to satisfy the NPC's in the comment section. REAL car guys know that there isn't such a thing as a REAL car guy. If you are into cars and love driving, owning, working on them, observing, reading about them, dreaming of a build....its all good. The notion that being financially successful enough to have a car built for you somehow makes you less of a car guy is complete nonsense. Those who can afford it are typically busy and successful enough that they need to keep doing what they do every day in order to stay successful. Doesn't make them any more or less passionate or enjoy the process any less. If they are happy, enjoy the process and love driving it at the end, who the hell cares what happens in-between. Just because they aren't the ones turning a wrench or crawling around on the floor fixing leaks doesn't make the car, or their enjoyment of it, any more or less valid. - Stop being a dick.
