Is it imperative for the Vols to sign a big transfer class outside of a few WRs IF they are returning a lot of their best players after taking a lot of HS recruits and it looks like they are busy putting together a monster 2026 class built around the No.1 QB in that class? Also, if we anticipate that the NCAA is going to expand scholarships to 105 and grant a 5th year of eligibility, shouldn't we expect an insane Spring portal?

Whatsup Cainer, Hubber, AP & Rob I'ma tell you Coach Rick Barnes is never gonna be happy with his defensive production no matter how good these Tennessee 🏀 players play on Defense because Rick Barnes is and has always been a Defensive minded HC and if you don't play good defense Rick won't put you on the court 💯 so I'm not really worried about this Tennessee 🏀 teams Defense yes Florida 🏀 is a good team especially on offense but Tennessee 🏀 is better on Defense in my opinion and Tennessee usually shuts down good offensive 🏀 teams They play 💯 so Go Vols 🏀 go to Gainesville Florida and get that W! GB🍊🏀

It's been nice to see the great start to this season by the Vols---but the team is getting blown out by Florida at the half, as I write, having scored only 15 points. (Halftime score: Florida 34, UT 15). This is the problem with this team. While the Vols can play strong defense, the team simply does not have enough scorers to be a national title threat. Lanier has been excellent--at least until tonight--but who are the other players who can /dependably/ give us 12/14 points a game? Milicic should be the guy, HAS to be the guy, really--but /hasn't/ been the guy. He's been excellent on the boards, but the Vols need scoring from him, and he's not been able to provide much. After him and Lanier, what do we have offensively? Answer: a bunch of role players who can give you points some nights--but are not dependable double-digit scorers. And that's what this team is lacking. Ziggy is mostly an assist guy, as he should be. He can score--but his shooting is erratic. Mashack is an outstanding defender but has never been a scorer. Okpara has done little: He's another guy who, like Milicic, really needs to score the ball more. Gainey can score---sometimes. He's another guy who has to ramp up his scoring. Given the way UT plays defense, the team doesn't need 4 players averaging in double-digits---but it probably needs three, and it doesn't have three now.

I think the SEC has gotten to where it is in basketball because the schools started hiring basketball coaches in place of using an assistant football coach as the basketball coach.
