Hope Colorado was an auto correct typo? :) Beko is being sold by Voltas, so after sales service should be as good as other Voltas products. Please check your local area for Voltas service center availability. As far as our experience goes, we haven't needed service/repairs yet. The installation and demo was promptly handled by Voltas in Hyderabad.

With dishwashers, a lot depends on how the utensils are placed. It's a learning experience. A few things that can be tried are to ensure that very dirty utensils get more exposure to the jets of water coming from the arms below. For spoons the dishwasher has provided 2 stacked trays. We only use 1 of the two trays to reduce the clutter and allow better circulation of water in the area. Do let us know if these tips helped. :)

Hi Shalini! You can skip it but you might see that your utensils are not shiny after the washes or there might be a white residue after the wash. As an alternative, you can buy or make your own natural rinse aid - just Google DIY rinse aid or natural rinse aid, you'll find several options :)

If someone has to run this same machine twice because of lots of utensils, do u recommend buying this one, or a 12 plate dishwasher(considering this is at a reasonable price, it's tabletop as well as compact) . Is running this dishwasher 2x incur very high electricity charges?

If you are setting up a new kitchen and are a family of 4 or more, we'd recommend under the cabinet dishwasher i.e. 12 place or more cos it can accomodate more or bigger utensils all at once. Running the dishwasher twice a day, is enough for a family of 3 or 4 but not more. And, if that's your family size, go for this one, it's the best in the budget.

Yes, but you might need to run it twice daily. If you are planning to setup a new kitchen, it's advisable to go for larger under-the-counter options. But for existing kitchen, this is easier to install.

The short program (clean n shine) is useful for a quick rinse of the utensils (like lightly soiled glasses/dishes or cleaning off dust when using a set of utensils after a long time). For regular deep cleaning of pans and plates, where food has been cooked or eaten, the minimum is "normal" cycle which takes 2 hrs 30 mins. If you want to save some water and electricity, ECO mode can be used, but it runs for even longer (3 hrs 15 mins). The highest temperature water is used in "Intensive" mode, which runs for 2 hrs 40 mins. Based on personal experience, the cleaning achieved in Intensive and Normal is the same.

You can try it out. It's just like using a washing machine, you can experiment with detergents and tablets and program cycles. Additionally, if the residue is building up on the same utensil every time, probably you can stop washing it in the dishwasher. We faced this with hard anodized Prestige aluminium cookers. On the other hand, the residue can also build up if the water being supplied is hard. For this, salt can be added (in the salt compartment) along with using the tablet, as was recommended by Voltas executive. Or you can use a water softner, like the ones used in washing machines in the input pipe. Hope this helps :)
