I’m honestly devastated with Lotors outcome, he was good Abuse representation. (I’m not saying abuse is a good thing, I’m saying I love how he represented how to overcome mental/physical abuse and still try for your dream.) Sadly his dream was stripped away from him. I’ve seen many people in the KZbin comments upset for his ending too, and they were also abused. They hurt many people this season which was not okay. They showed children of abusers don’t get happy endings, instead they get their melted corpse shown on screen. I’m not trying to cause hate and such this is just my opinion. I’m very upset with his outcome. I’m very upset they didn’t let him have his dream. The last thing he ever saw was all the people he trusted turn on him over a misunderstanding. His generals, Allura, and the collation. A lot of abuse victims found comfort in Voltron, and then they get see an abuse victim just like them, thrown away and discarded.

SPOILERS!!!! In all honesty, I would really enjoy a sequel to Voltron Legendary Defender. Because it said the Holt's established the new Defenders meaning they helped create more defense weapons like Voltron (Voltron Force). I would enjoy a new hell scape like that. I'm a HUGE Klance fan. I LOOOOOOVE Klance. So after the whole 'Allurance was rushed" issues and Allura sadly is....not around due to Honerva being an ARSEHOLE and having Allrua give up her life for her insolence I believe Keith and Lance still have a chance. Keith has to return to Earth at least to see Shiro meaning he woukd still see Lance. And you could tell I'm the sunset scene with Lance and Keith, Keith looked crushed when Lance even stated that he FINALLY got a date with Allrua. I still believe in my heart that Keith and Lance have a future. Now on to the Allurance issue. I feel like it was very rushed in season 8. Very very rushed. Allrua never and I mean NEVER would reciprocate Lance's feelings back to him. It was always Lance that would try to do anything and everything for Allrua and she wouldn't even bat an eye. Plus now Lance has to deal with the fact that Allrua gave him Altean markings so now he's basically tortured for the rest of his life knowing that Allrua is gone and she gave him a 'gift' to remember her. Quite disappointed in DreamWorks for it. Now Shiro, proud he got married but we never even met this 'new man that everyone calls *Cutris* '. I'm glad we got and LGBT kissing scene for the wedding scene. Quite disappointed about not getting any backstory on Adam 2.0

@@GeminiSucker Allurance was definitely rushed, but I think it was something that needed to happen. However, since there weren't enough episodes/seasons for the writers to actually develop it, it came out pretty rough. I do think that Allura was in a vunerable state, and when Lance started to show sincere feelings, she accepted them because she needed to support. Along the way, she did fall in love with Lance because he'd been having genuine feelings since at least season 5/6; she sees this. The writers couldn't really fit this in, and gave us scenes that made it feel as if they'd been dating for a long time, hence the rushed feeling. I do see the Klance direction you are going in, and I think the writers wanted that. But with the little time they had, they needed an abrupt way to end Allurance; I really wish they hadn't (one, they killed a friggin queen). I wish they'd given us stuff that would've made me love the ship, to show me the importance. I think that Allurance was critical in the original plan of Lance's arc; showing him move on would have been beautiful for his character(and klance is always a bonus. but like, developed klance, not like season 8 allurance style klance). Voltron is a special show; it's kind of like cheese in the way that if you age and mature it carefully, it'll taste amazing. I really wished they hadn't shortened the seasons to get them out faster; that might've solved some of the problems we have now. I think the showrunners/crew realized that they really needed to crunch on the plot and some arcs by season 7, which is why we see Allura suddenly blushing at Lance. The writers needed more time; we needed more time, but it just wasn't available. Time would've perhaps let some of the toxicity go away, letting the fans calm down. I'd absolutely love a sequel, but we need time. Many problems weren't solved, many questions weren't answered, and my purple boi Lotor got done dirty. But unless it were an entirely new reboot, then what is done cannot be undone. Thank you for writing the start of this comment chain; I think I just solved my existential crisis of wondering where Voltron all started to go downhill and why. T u T I'm frickin serious; I've felt so depressed all day, but after writing this long-ass youtube comment(along with a couple previous ones on different videos) that no one is going to read, I feel like smiling. @@cw2982 Oh my goodness i completely understand what you are saying. I wasn't trying to sound rude if I did. I truly love DreamWorks and thought they made this version of Voltron amazing. It was different from all the other versions and I was very happy with how it turned out. I truly get that they had to crunch it a bit sense they made the seasons so much shorter then what they could have been. I love Klance but I'm not one of those Klance shippers that will shove it down others throats. I do like the Allurance ship I think it's sweet and I completely get what you were saying about how they needed to make it seem like they were dating for a while for this whole ship to sail. In all honesty I would've loved for DreamWorks to really pull at our heartstrings and just keep their first kiss to actually be their last you know what I mean? I feel like it would've really caught us there in that moment of pure emotion. I'm glad I could help with helping you understand and get you out of your depression hole. @Ochako Uraraka You weren’t rude at all! That saving the first kiss then making it the last idea could have improved Allurance so much this season! I AM LITERALLY SEEING IT RIGHT NOW! It would have made so much more of an impact, and Lance’s Altean marks might have even made sense! Like, Allura giving him the marks could have symbolized that, yes, it’s hard to move on, especially in love. But the Alteans are amazing race, with their ability to change form and adapting being a prominent feature. It could have been Allura’s message to Lance that he’ll always be an important part of her journey, but like the Alteans, he should learn to move forward and adapt. UUUGGGHH! IF ONLY THEY’D DONE THIS! YOU ARE LITERALLY A FRICKING GENIUS! Like, they could’ve kept so much sentimental value and Lance’s ending wouldn’t just seem like the show was overcompensating for sinking Allurance; it could have seemed as if Lance was spreading Allura’s because of its worth and not just because he is lonely and misses her. He’d have his marks, but they’d urge him to do more, not constantly give him sad reminders of the past. A part of him will always love Allura, but he will march forwards, keeping her message close to heart. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
