Well yes, just not effectively because in bedrock, mobs don’t stack on top of each other, so the spiders would drown in water because of that as they dont have space

I built this farm once before - honestly can't remember now where I saw this design previously - but yours is the first time I've seen the "water above the signs" trick to deal with the irritating spiders that scramble up the walls and slow down the farm. Great tip!

Bedrock Edition 1.20 6/11/2023 :: Built this and it does function, a little slow as the spider spawner only seems to spawn 6 - 8 cave spiders at a time, and sometimes they get a little stuck on the fences out of striking range and drown for no XP or loot, but it's steady and effortless XP + string so was still worth building for the cheap cost and simplicity thanks to this video. Fix: I replaced the fences with 3 opened gates in the same location (2nd block of the kill tunnel) and replaced the ceiling full blocks in the kill tunnel with slabs (all except the final row that sits above the chests with the trapdoors attached). Now all the spiders funnel down without getting stuck. Note: Some can climb a little high at the end right by the trapdoors but you can still barely see their legs and hit their hitbox and all are now reachable for exp. Double Fix: Not sure if this was occurring before I replaced the kill tunnel signs and blocks with slabs that the spiders were getting hung up on because vision was limited, but I experienced a slowdown in the farm once a few skeleton archers spawned and got funneled down. Too tall to enter the kill tunnel under the slabs, they congested the gates and once 3 or 4 spawned, seemingly halted the flow of spiders entirely. Fixed this by replacing the 3 floor blocks right before the tunnel slabs with magma blocks. This kills the skeletons that get stuck there, and will also dispatch bugged spiders that might get hung up in that area. Farm flowing flawlessly now, using it as enchantment xp farm and string emerald trades in my survival world.

Tip: put hoppers under walls, into another chest ( or you even can combine that chest with the other 3 chests you have ) cause some of spiders drops, fell in the hole of walls 5:07 Pause and Look at the walls

Thank you so much for this build. In my world, I found two cave spider farms right next to each other, so I improvised a little to accommodate for the two spawners. It's twice as efficient and gives me lots of exp, string, and spider eyes. Thanks a bunch :)

For bedrock; the Signs didn’t work for me. I put flat trap doors in their place instead and removed the walls from the flooring (replaced them with stone or a block of choice) And it worked!!! First Spawner build! Thanks!!

You only need 2 water buckets. You dig 3 blocks, put one bucket on the left and one on the right and you can refill bucket with the water in the center. Also in the video he breaks the torch while flying, in survival you need to dig a way back up make a bridge and remove the torch. Only one torch on top is fine

I accidentally built this farm for the normal spider spawner and the spiders didn't come to the slab and just got stuck in between and drowned, it took me quite some time to realise lol 😅

For some reason, the xp orbs are trapped before the slabs. I can't get it. Edit: Fixed. - Removed the ceiling water and the fences. Seems the spiders are stuck there. - Replaced solid blocks on way to killing chamber with slabs.

HUGE TIP: get rid of the walls. They don't do anything, they block the spiders from getting closer, which in turn stops the drops from reaching the hoppers (thought I'd put this here to help :P)

Yup, this farm is indeed the most efficient and the final version since there is nothing left to improve in it, apart from changing the water source applied on the top, to drown the spiders. The only downside of this farm is that the spider eyes can't be traded, otherwise this would be a farm worth building for gaining emeralds.

It’s not the most efficient, and drowning the mobs at the top wouldn’t make it better… that’s just loosing spider loot. The most efficient way has the cave spider room exit in the center… below the spawner. never giving the spiders a chance to climb the walls
