So this entire cover was mixed by me. I tried to mix it similar to the production of 'Via' but also gave it my own sound in some ways..Guitars are just pod farm, and bass is reamped through a sansamp pedal.
Also, please give feedback on whether you like these covers, or my old way of doing covers better, i may start making all of them like this!

@ryanellisproductions normally for pod farm my chain is pod>Waves Q10>PSP Vintage Warmer>Waves C4>Waves S1 Shuffler (to widen the tone) and thats about all i do for post processing. Only compression is on the multiband (c4), just controlling the low end and nothing else, to balance out the tone

Tune it to regular drop A, so your 6 string would be like a 7 string without the high E string. And whilst looking at the tabs, ignore the high E string and just play it that way. The solo at the end might be tricky though. If you're tuning to A, the best thing to do is to buy a baritone guitar set (with thick strings) or a 7string set (like I do), and just use every string except the high E string. I hope that made sense!

@scottismad the tone itself is pretty simple. just cali diamond plate +treadplate cab with the screamer in front of the head and a eq removing 4.2 decibels of 4khz. theres a shit ton of post processing going on the tone as well to really give it this sound. thanks dude!

@ryanellisproductions for some thing pod farm works better, if you really are looking for 'tact' haha but for most things ill reamp through either my 5150 or engl fireball 100 just to keep things analog and natural. but yeah i dont do very much at all in PSP, just add a little grit and use it to warm the tone up a hair haha. thats about it. S1 works really well since the digital tone from pod is so narrow

@battleaxbass52195 Yeah I haven't gotten down to investing in Pod farm yet. But my guitar tones are really weak sounding when I record with a mic. I am picking up a 5150 on saturday, and hopefully getting a new Orange 2x12 cab for it as well. But I am definitely investing in a good di box and reamp box soon. Im tired of being stuck with the tone after recording! Btw, have you used the s1 on vocals at all as a stereo imager for screams?

May people use 6 strings that are tuned very low, because rarely do bands like Volumes even use the 1st string anyway. So, unless you actually plan on using ALL 7 strings, there is no need to run out and buy a 7, or 8 string guitar. Buying a 6 string baritone or even a very good 6 string standard guitar that is made for metal is perfectly practical.
