thanks! it was great to see a bit of your workflow, your stage renders are simply the best. I spent 6 years doing stage renders and still suck at volumetrics XD Time for another try

Hey evan, Im enjoying watching your videos. I work in the same industry and am currently trying to develop a new workflow - Using vectorworks & c4d as the hub and then additionally adding zbrush, character creator and marvelous designer to try and cover all the bases. Its inspiring and great to see artists like yourself bringing what would have previously been considered game/film pre-visualisation skills to aid live performance output. I have a question - I see your using redshift in this particular video but I see in others you focus on using corona. Do you have a preference? kind regards

@magic dog Thanks for the kind words. Corona is my go to renderer. Its beautiful and incredibly easy to use. It does fall down a bit with Volumetrics and Redshift really shines there. So I do the base work in Corona and then switch to Redshift for the volumetrics and then comp it together in Post. Probably more work then I need to be doing. My architecture work is all Corona. I should probably go all Redshift for the concert stuff, but I a creature of habit. Good luck on your journey!

Is there a reason why you dont use apps like Depence/wysiwyg/Unreal to do your renders? Or even In vectorworks. Since the fixtures is allready drafted in vectorworks beforehand.

Hi! I find the way Cinema handles large files with lots of objects to be better and the texturing and lighting systems can't even be compared. Once you light a scene with live realtime feedback, you can't go back. I love modeling and drafting in Vectorworks, but not for rendering. I haven't used dependence or wysiwyg but have done a fair amount of Unreal and love it. Need to upgrade my rig and hard drives before I start to seriously fold it into client work, but it's coming.
