@ one quick note I just pulled my 690neo’s and installed the 8inch adaptors. If anyone has bag liners like my self mine are from HW there is a bit of clearance issue at the front if the bag because of the thickness of the liner. It still will work its just a little more tight latching the bag closed. I don’t have the sv200 neo speakers on them yet just ordered them from you guys. I’m sure they will be fine it was just the adaptor. The outer ring where the 8inch mounts to. Just a future fyi this is on a 2014 model bags not the new 2024 bags its also with the hertz cut in kit

@@volunteeraudiook here is my first listen honest review of using the 6x9 to 8 inch adaptors. With sv200 in bags. This was done in my garage cause its 5 degrees here in michigan. I installed them exactly how the video shows us to and am running a sp900.4 amp set up by volunteer audio and have sx165 neo’s in fairing. Listening to rock no rap. I honestly still have to fade to the rear to 2 or 3 to equal out the sound to my ears. I also have an extended reach seat so i def sit back farther. Maybe its just my hearing as i have lost alot of hearing over the yrs I am 54 so. Maybe i should have went with the sx200 with the tweeter. But to me the 165’s still over power the 8’s. Is it just me who knows. Did they sound louder then the 6x9’s? Ya a little bit but there two different animals of speakers also. The real test will be in the spring when I actually get to ride it. I am also running a soundstream hu also.

Harley-Davidson introduced the first factory installed stereo in 1986 (I believe, can’t speak to the tour glide models). This started the long, downward decline where it now is more important to listen to the stereo than your motorcycle. There can be no plausible explanation for why somebody would think it a good idea to be on a Harley and blast the stereo so loud you can’t even hear the motorcycle running. Lastly, more proof the upcoming generation has to have constant audio/visual stimulation, incapable of simply being alone with their thoughts.
