I love seeing Paul Moore's garden. I wish there had been more discussion of how he achieves such nice results. The massive root systems of the trees in my native woodland garden make it very difficult to plant, and keep everything watered and from dying out. I would have loved to hear HOW he gardens, not just what he had planted.

This is the best video on KZbin. I wish that I could just walk through his garden it is absolutely beautiful. Two more days I can't wait I'm going to the Atlanta native spring plant sale for the first time and watching this video just gave me wonderful ideas of what I can look forward to thank you.

At 6:53 one of the most beautiful of native trees were skipped. Directly behind them was an umbrella or big leaf magnolia it looks so tropical and very unusual. The one here hadn't sent out its foot long leaves but it should have been mentioned. As a child these trees were the start of my plant obsession. These trees should be used more often but by golly they are hard as hell to transplant out of the woods. I've killed idk how many trying to dig them up since i was a kid but at last i finally got one umbrella mag. I also was able to get a frasier mag which is similar but not quite. I also have a large cucumber mag that came with my house so all I'm lacking is the big leaf mag for my native Appalachian mag collection. I'm chomping at the bits to get one lol!

I have lots of trees and lots of hostas. Research what grows. Silver Beacon grow great under a tree. It's a matter ok trial and error.
